Gosh, they mean everything to me. I would actively search for any content about them or create content about them instead ,, Their relationship should be explored more as well as learning about Ummi's behalf on how she slowly falls for him + getting a lil' personality at least </3 !! [Like,, pretty please 🙏]
And its been 8 months of shipping them, like good gosh !! :O
Definitely not the longest but has always been such a comfort ship of mine >.< !!

Headcanon: If Kuruk and Ummi got to children Kuruk would be such a girl Dad. And given that Ummi is from the South Pole and they allow their woman water benders to fight I see no reason why they both wouldn't be okay with their daughter learning how to use her water bending to fight instead of just healing. Also if anyone in the northern water tribe has an issue, he's the Avatar. What are they going to do.

Kuruk: she did? That's so awesome, that's my girl!

Boy do I have some Kuruk headcanon
The fight with father glowworm scarred him so bad he started hallucinating like korra did post the fight and during his recovery
His right arm that he used to land his titanic strike on fgw was damaged so bad it was permanent, even after recovering his right arm kept shaking and it would cause him painful episodes every now and then, he no longer gif the ability to bend properly with it and had to adapt to using his left arm instead
Follow up to that, after he met Ummi, she noticed his arm and asked him about it, he dismissed it but she didn’t want to just leave it like that so she made him a compression sleeve that really helped out
He discovered he can waterbend at a very young age, five years old to be exact
He’s distantly related to korra
He’s the first guy ever to try air surfing (I know it’s shown that gyatso did it in the show but ut was never said that he’s the first guy to ever do that)
He’d go above and beyond for Ummi on their dates
He fell out of touch with his parents, despite them loving him dearly they kind of also had the same view the public had on him tho so it made their relationship freil
When Ummi introduced him to her parents Kuruk jumped off a cliff to prove his love for her, safe to say he got her dad’s blessing after that
The more he Slayed spirits the colder he permanently got which is why he’s a very touchy guy, the warmth of others brings him comfort
Following up to that, touch is his love language
On his very bad days where his sickness got to him, Ummi woukd climb with him in bed and they’d spend the rest of the day in each other’s arms
After ummi’s death he ended up cutting off his hair in an act of grief, nobody noticed tho cause he never took off his polar bear dog pelt outside
Kuruk and wan shi tong are good buddies surprisingly
Kuruk’s animal companion was a fox, specifically the same spirit fox he sent to Kyoshi at the end of her novel

Wanted to draw some moments from the first chapter and it's been forever since I drew these characters, so it was nice to be inspired to do so again

Headcanon: Sometimes when Ummi and Kuruk are out in public walking about, they over hear people not so discreetly whispering about how he's the worst Avatar in history or that he is a disgrace to YangChen's legacy and in response Ummi has a tendency to either "accidentally" make snow, water or ice fall on them. Or other times they just "accidentally" slip on ice. Kuruk always tells her she doesn't have to and that's not a big deal, but Ummi is just like "what do you mean? They just accidentally slipped on ice." With a mischievous grin on her face.
This is so canon, the overprotective girlfriend EVER, we love her for that

Tweening is one of the most coolest YET painful tools ever in editing in CAPCUT. I need to switch to Alight Motion but gosh the complexity and the memorizing to do will probably explode my brains off 💔 (also the tiny cracked phone I had while editing the process of the video doesn't help at all - !! )
