Mitsubishi Pajero’s Latest Avatar
Till the year 2002, Mitsubishi Pajero was an all imported car for Indian markets. It was Hindustan Motors, which in collaboration with Mitsubishi, re-launched Mitsubishi Pajero for sale in Indian markets by assembling it at Tiruvallur facility in Chennai.
Mitsubishi Pajero will give a tough competition to Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe and Ford Endeavour. The high price of Pajero in comparison to Fortuner can be a spoilt sport as Mitsubishi Pajero is competing in the 7-seater segment. The consumers belonging to this segment often look at value for money. This latest model, which was unveiled in Thailand, will be available for sale from mid-2017. So far, based on the specifications that have come out, it’s likely to keep up with the promise of awesome design, high quality interiors and punchy engine. This enthusiast’s car promises good off-loading with urban driving capabilities.
It will be coming in both AT and MT models. MT will be four wheel manual drive, whereas AT will be paddle shift gear model. The slightly less mileage in comparison to its competitors and limited dealership will be something that can be a cause of worry to the company.
Pajero’s 2.5L engine is less than Fortuner and Endeavour, but still the torque it provides is better than Fortuner. The exterior of the vehicle is given a nip and tuck treatment, which is a treat to the eye. The Pajero Sport has all the characteristics of a traditional SUV. It is huge with intimidating look. The colours available in Pajero will be Titanium Grey Metallic, White Solid, Cool Silver Metallic, Black Mica and Deep Blue Mica. The interiors have received major improvements to make it more stylish and warm. It is retaining a lot of Mitsubishi’s trademark features, but at the same time incorporating a lot of new features as well to take it to the pinnacle.
Mitsubishi cars have a loyal patronage all across the globe due to their strong build and smooth performance. The new Pajero is expected to follow the suit and become a favourite. Right now, it is creating ripples across the SUV market as the most anticipated SUV of future. Whether it actually lives up to its expectation will be seen only once it comes out for sale.

For 2016, Pajero comes fully packed with advanced features to meet the increasing customer demands in this segment. The model is designed to be easy to drive in the city surroundings. What makes it expensive is that it’s offered as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Its competitors Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner are now offered as rear-wheel drive models, which are cheaper. If Pajero also gets such an option, it can surely increase the sales figures.
Engine and Transmission
The new Pajero comes integrated with an intercooled turbocharged 2.5L common rail DOHC engine, good enough to deliver an output power of 175bhp and torque of 350Nm. The output power remains the same for all the models, whereas the torque is reduced by 50Nm in the auto variant.
The automatic variant is offered only with rear-wheel drive, while the manual version gets AWD system. The transmission choices include the 5-speed auto and 5-speed manual transmission.
Exterior and Interior
Beginning with the looks of the new Pajero, it encompasses the components depending on the existing characteristics of Mitsubishi. The exterior shows the qualities of a conventional SUV with its menacing appearance and enormous size. It now receives a front chrome grille and is offered in two 2-tone paint schemes: lemon yellow with white and flame red with white. Besides the new vertical chrome-plated bar kind of front grille, it features a front silver skid plate, black roof rails, front fog lights, and high-mounted stop lights.
Stepping into the cabin, it’s spacious with beige coloured leather upholstery. It comes plenty of features ranging from a new infotainment system with navigation and two-DIN audio system to reverse parking camera and auto climate control. As for the safety features, it’s packed with all the essential features like collapsible steering column, anti-intrusion brake pedal and RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body design.

4 Major Mistakes to Avoid When Purchasing a Used Car
Buying a used car can be a very tricky process and over everything else, you are going to make a purchase without any “safety nets” that comes with the new car, which means you really need to be highly careful.
Here, we have a list of 4 major mistakes that most used car buyers make, which in fact must be avoided in possible scenarios.
Failing to Check the Vehicle’s History Report
This is the simplest thing that every used car buyer should consider. It is important to ensure that the vehicle has never been in any kind of accident before. You must check the car history and see if it is clean. Also check the car for any kind of legal trouble. This is going to be very helpful for you in future. Most dealers offer this report, but if a dealer fails to give out this report, consider it as your duty and ask for it.
Failing to Check Fuel Consumption
It is a common mistake that most buyers make. At times, they come looking for a model, which offers great mileage but drives out in an average-fuel efficient model just due to lack of knowledge. The best way to know more about the fuel consumption of a particular model is to make sure to check online websites that can give you all the needed details.
Failing to Check Vehicle Inspection Report
If you are buying a car from the dealer, just ask him for a mechanic’s inspection report for that particular model that you wish to buy. If they turn you down on this, you might either have to walk away from the deal or get a mechanic of your own to get the vehicle checked.
It is very important that you always ask for inspection report from the seller. Make sure that the mechanic also performs a pre-purchase inspection even though it might be a little time consuming and you will have to pay for it yourself but it is important to pay for it.
Never Fail to Compare
The internet has changed drastically over the years. It is a place where cars are now bought and also sold. Right from finding the Audi Q5 price in India to selling a Honda City, Internet is capable of doing anything. So, make use of the tool and compare all your options to see what works out best for you. Check the cars for their features and price too and see what matches your
requirements to the fullest.
These are 4 major things that you must keep in mind when buying used cars.

The New Audi Q3 Reviewed
Audi Q3 for 2015 is comfortable, though it offers just average utility and performance. While it may not be the most efficient or the quickest of the baby utes, it still offers better ride and is quieter than its rivals.
This baby ute from Audi is the premium German alternatives to rivals like Range Rover Evoque in the premium compact SUV division. At the entry-level price range, Audi Q3 price in India is cheaper when compared to the base model of Land Rover Evoque.
Engine and Performance
Q3 comes equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine capable of churning out 200hp and 207pf torque, paired to a 6-speed auto gearbox.  The options of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available.
As per EPA estimates, FWD Q3 yields 20 city/29 highway/23 combined mpg and the AWD version returns 20/28/23 mpg city/highway/combined. During the test drive, the Quattro edition sprinted from a standstill to 60mph in 8.0 seconds.
Driving Impressions
The new Q3 may not be as fast as its rivals like BMW X1 in sprinting to the 60mph mark, but it’s adequately peppy in the real world. This is the fact especially if you use the Sport mode transmission, which keeps the car on its toes. On uneven roads, it offers a controlled but still supple quality of ride. Driving enthusiasts can fell that steering, although precise, is very light.
However, most of them will prefer it. When driven hard on a back road, it presents remarkable body roll. The overall composure is decent and many drivers will discover that it has an easygoing and affable demeanour in daily driving conditions.
Interior Specs
Q3 may be the most affordable SUV from the German maker, but its cabin doesn’t stint as far as the quality of materials and build is concerned – the same high quality build and materials seen in all modern Audis can be seen here as well. The design theme of the cockpit appears sportier as it has a center stack towards the driver in addition to many key instruments and metallic accents. The controls are quite simple to use, though the climate controls are situated quite low on the center stack.
The front as well as rear seats are comfortable, thanks to the well-shaped, firm cushions. The compartment at the rear feels kind of tight for tall people. The cargo room behind the rear seats is 16.7 cubic-feet and when folded down it’s enlarged to 48 cubic-feet, which is average.
The new Audi Q3 is a capable and desirable contender in its segment!

Interesting Facts about Audi
With its headquarter in Ingolstadt, Balivia, Audi is one of the most renowned German automobile companies that designs, manufactures, tests, markets and distributes high-end luxury automobiles. It was founded on 29 June 1932 and is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group since 1966. It was named after its founder August Horch’s Latin translation of the surname. No doubt Audi has always agreed to its slogan “Advancement through Technology” by investing in high amounts in Research and Development and producing world-class vehicles that have always been ahead of time. Below are a few of the most amazing facts about Audi: • The four rings in the logo of Audi represent the four companies, which formed an alliance to become Audi Union. The four companies were: Horch, Audi, Wanderer and DKW. High-end luxury cars were assigned to Horch, deluxe mid-size cars to Audi, standard mid-size cars to Wanderer and small cars and motorcycles to DKW. • Since its inception, Audi has always focussed on safety. The company was the first to conduct crash test. During the initial years, the crash tests were not that sophisticated with slow motion cameras or dummies. DKW simply rolled an F7 model down the hill and demonstrated the spectators.
• All of the brand’s high performance cars are built at its Neckarsulm facility. 5000 different parts and 70 hours are required to build one Audi R8. Only the best and the most experienced workers work at this plant. They are the ones who have been with the company from decades and are called “silverliners”.

Pricing of Audi Cars Makes it Broaden Its Target Group
For the second year in a row, Audi has proved to be the market leader for luxury car sales. The German carmaker sold over 10000 cars in the last two years, breaking all records. Last year saw a drastic increase in the sales volume owing to the launch of Audi A3. With the launch of Audi A3, a large number of people who were buying premium luxury cars shifted their choice to buying a luxury car.
The German carmaker has a portfolio of products starting at 30-32 lakhs on road to 2-3 crores. At the entry level, Q3 and A3 hit the roads between 30 and 40 lakhs. Above this, Audi has A6 and Q5, which are above 50 lakhs. Audi has it flagship model as the A8L and Q7. These two cars come at a price point of about a crore.
The sports cars and the other performance cars, which are directly imported, come at a price point of more than that of A6 and Q5. The cost of some of them like R8 V8 crosses even 2-3 crores. With the option of customizing your car, the price at which you could get your Audi could be enormous.
Not only does the price vary between models, but also Audi has a number of variants for the same model of car. The price of these variants varies about 25-30% from the basic to the top end model. These cars may be a little expensive for the mass market of car users, but are very affordable for those who have their budget in the range.
The pricing of the car varies based on a large number of parameters. The road tax is a major component of the on-road price of the car. So, the Audi cars price list varies across different states. It is also a factor of cost of insurance, warranty and Audi top assist. Again depending on the type of insurance, the Audi cars price list may have variations. The best way to see the actual Audi price list is to meet a sales representative who has all the information with him. Talk to him and understand all available options for financing and where you could actually cut the cost or price to meet your budget. While talking to the sales representative, you should be open and explain all your requirements so that he can help you in customizing the entire product and services’ package according to your budget and also help you in drawing maximum benefit.
Also, as a matter of fact, the type of engine, material of interiors, sunroof, sound system, add-on like navigation and camera add to the final pricing of Audi cars. Therefore, if you really aspire for a luxury car or if it is Audi for your choice, be sure of what your requirements are and accordingly ask the sales representative.
