Not to be a complete soapbox (hehe) but I love Taylor Swift so incredibly much and I’ve never forgotten that for a second since I was an 8 year old girl back in 2011!! Watching Miss Americana genuinely made me feel so much more connected with her than I had ever felt before (if that was even possible!!) I could go on forever about all the important issues Taylor talked about and raised awareness about!! I was personally able to relate to a few of the things she has struggled with, particularly many of the psychological roller coaster rides she has been on and also being caught up in society’s beauty standards and abnormal eating habits (which I won’t go into detail in now but that scene especially really made me 🥺🥺) bearing all the shit Taylor has been through and seeing parts of the reality of what those times actually looked like for her literally broke my heart into pieces but I I’m so glad that she decided to share those vulnerable moments and moments of growth in her life to inspire others to grow. Seeing her come out of her shell and realise her importance and the impact of her voice throughout the years was also such an amazing part of the doc and the amount of pride she felt when she finally grew the courage to speak up about things she was so passionate about and valued so much also made me so emo :’). Women’s right and just basic human rights in general personally mean so much to me and I feel that it is SO important so for Taylor to speak up about those issues and talk about it in more depth in the documentary made me so happy and proud. Anywayyy in conclusion, literally no amount of words could describe my love for Taylor like she means so so so much to me and I’ve literally grown up alongside her. I’ve been big sad these past few day’s from just missing my family a lot and stress but watching that documentary (even though it made me cry) literally made my entire week and Taylor just brings me so much happiness, especially at times when I need it most and I’m just really really thankful and grateful for her and I’m so so sooo proud of her. 🥺💘
