Always remember this is the one and only time I will ever speak about this Netflix live action adaptation of Avatar the Last Airbender.
The sexism elements are a very important part of the show. Sokka being a sexist at the beginning is important because it’s a part of his character development. He has this delusional view point of masculinity all while being ignorant about women and what they are capable of doing. He gets humbled hard by the Kyoshi warriors, especially by Suki, who mostly did all of the humbling, and that is where their relationship starts.
The sexist interactions between the water tribe water benders and Katara is in the show not just to have Katara gain a win over a man, but to prove her biggest point, which is simple: she is just as capable as the male water benders in the tribe, and she doesn’t care if she loses or wins, she is there to prove her case.
So removing the sexism in the live action show shoots Sokka’s character development in the foot, and it takes away the biggest character highlight for Katara. It would be just like them removing the genocide elements from the show because it would be too scary or too dark for kids, which would declaw the Fire Nation, especially Azula, who is the best female villain in the series.

i need a himbo bruce au where he never became batman, his kids however, they are all vigilantes and try their best to keep it a secret from their father - how they become vigilantes? who knows, maybe they took up mentorships with other heroes or villains. still, their morals kept them on the 'good' side of the law as best as it could - but bruce while being incredibly intelligent and likely a doctor (because i imagine he would finish med school in this au) doesn't realize how odd it is that his kids disappear in the night and have a plethora of wounds he tends to almost daily.
oh well, to him they're just crazy kids and definitely not a modge-podge of ex-assassins and bird themed vigilantes.

just a reminder to COMPLETELY boycott Eurovision this year; Azerbaijan and Israel, despite committing genocide, are STILL allowed to compete & have NOT been banned. by refusing to ban both countries, Eurovision is profiting off of the genocide of Palestinians and Armenians.
do not listen to the artists. do not pirate or stream the artists' music, and this applies to ALL the artists who are competing and performing this year. do not listen to the songs on ANY platform, do not give them ANY attention.
write to your broadcasters and tell them you REFUSE to watch the channels until they recognise the Armenian and Palestinian genocides & that you find it disgusting how they are allowing Eurovision despite Azerbaijan and Israel's entries.
do NOT give eurovision OR the competing artists ANYTHING but silence.
boycott ALL of eurovision.

I love how both Bruce and Oliver fall into the “could use guns very well/hates to use guns” category.
