okay. Where to start?
I haven’t been on here for a hot fucking minute. Almost two years now. I know, I know, I disappeared off the face of the earth without an explanation. I was eighteen and I’m now twenty (!!!) and finishing up my junior year in college. I’ve stayed away from all social media because my anxiety had gotten so bad, I really couldn’t handle it. But yeah.
this shit hurt.
I’ve never been a particularly popular writer, so this has never happened to me before. To make it clear, no. I did NOT give my permission for Look At Me to be reposted. It’s a work I am immensely proud of, no matter how few notes it’s gotten. I wrote it when I was in a pretty dark place. It was solace. It’s my baby.
honestly, seeing people commenting and thanking this “author” for writing it, has bile rising in my throat.
so yeah. I don’t know what to do. Am I overreacting? Maybe, I don’t know. All I know is that I don’t think my tiny voice will reach them and, for my peace of mind, I really need them to take it down. Like, kinda desperately.
so, though ngl, I’m kinda anxious to do it, I’m tagging the people I used to be close with on this app. Hey guys. Guess who’s back from the dead. lol? I dunno if you’re still even on here but I hope you’re all well and thriving and healthy. I’m sorry for disappearing.

thinking of maki after everything. maki without the pain, maki without the sorrow, maki without the anger; maki when, finally, there's peace.
and she's terrified.
she's in the middle of their sleepover when it hits her: they're safe. it's all solved. it's not perfect yet... but no one else will die.
and she sees toge's peaceful expression as he sleeps, she feels yuuta's breath on her neck, she hears panda's muffled snores against her chest— they're safe.
they're safe now, and no one's changed— except her. because she's not angry anymore. she doesn't have to fight anymore... but what is she, then? who is she besides her anger?
toge is kind, yuuta is devoted, panda is understanding. what about her?
she's grieving in peace, she's cried and screamed enough already, and when she wakes up every morning she catches herself smiling. what the hell is she supposed to be, now?

nevermind, i think the best way (in toge's toxic mind) to get maki back AND ruin nobara would be... to keep on ruining nobara. and eventually, maki will be used to get to nobara. which would drive them apart once it becomes too much for maki (<- who was literally living kinda peacefully at the top before that, so oof yk)
it's still immature thinking ofc, but toge's thought process would be that maki is on neither side, therefore she's not on his side. so she needs to be punished. he cuts her from the elite, basically telling people "do whatever with it".
basically, he needs maki to come back with a broken heart.
have i mentioned that in raw, toge is a prodigy and has a mesmerising voice, which is also why he gets compared to a siren
which is also why he's on top of the hierarchy and is the "queen B" (feels weird to use that word since everything is so serious in the fic LOL)
when toge orders you to do something, you do it. nicknames are usually only given once a handful of people adopt it, but the second toge calls yuuta his "morsel", everyone else starts calling yuuta this (even though, who said it was supposed to be a nickname?)
this is just me rambling and brainstorming a bit, but i actually wouldn't be surprised if toge could turn the entire palace against nobara because of her rebellion against him. there wouldn't even be any fake crying, any whining, any bribe: toge says, and people do.

thinking that yuuta would be on toge's side, always-- his most loyal follower, probably even acting on his own to ruin nobara.
noritoshi doesn't want to be on toge's side... but he owes him and feels responsible (spoiler that's not really a spoiler ig: he's the reason toge became cannibal).
maki's the only one staying neutral... which basically means she's on both sides.
toge isn't above manipulating people to get what he wants, btw; he doesn't do it often because people idolise him, but he can toy with people's minds and emotions if need be.
nothing is set in stone, but since the entire toge vs nobara thing is supposed to show another scary facet of toge-- i do think he'd show how powerful he is by stealing maki back.
idk, this is immature brainstorming, but i do like the idea of toge (and noritoshi) slowly trying to ruin nobara's life (and reputation) at the palace... and giving yuuta the freedom to do whatever he seems fit. now, this doesn't mean he kills nobara XD however, i can see him getting maki back on toge's side by ruining her relationship and trust for nobara.
especially since maki has a soft spot for yuuta.

idk what to add, there's so much 😔 toge's in his regina george era but for opera, yuuta's a simp, naoya's terrible as usual, noritoshi's the only smart fucker in the fic 😭😭😭
one interesting thing is about toge's speech 🤭 this is a non-curse au, so no cursed speech; but to keep the "mystery" around his character, i'm basically making him silent in most of the scenes!! toge only says a few words, and they're all supposed to carry weight to them.
for example, the first words he says in the fic are "he's mine" (talking about yuuta), then adding "he's my new morsel". then he doesn't say much for the rest of the chapter.
i literally have notes where he only says 2 words during a whole chapter, compared to everyone else 😭😭 truth is, the moments he speaks the most are when he sings... so he's not really speaking
