replaying rdr2 and i don't even think that the theory of abigail being the second rat is a good one. especially when the excuse given is the heist in saint denis.
a few chapters back, you can overhear hosea talking with abigail about how she and jack will be fine. i think when they set off the distraction and realises they're about to be caught, hosea makes abigail run and leave him behind.
he clearly cares about her and jack a lot and i'm certain he'd know that being caught in this case means certain death so he faces the music so abigail can run and warn the gang back at the camp and return to camp.
anyways, abigail was absolutely not the second rat (if there was one.)
