Sakura has been working hard lately. So here's Tonton with a tray of snacks and a hot cup of tea.

She smiles gently, tilting her head left and right and hearing the tired pops of her neck. Stretching her arms up, she takes one of the senbei crackers off the plate and then picks up the cup of tea. The tea immediately makes her feel refreshed, relaxed; after all, it had been quite hectic today from all the patients she had to check. Eyes gleaming, Sakura happily pets Tonton's head.

At Shizune's facial expressions, Sakura wonders if she had opened the can of worms with the question. After all, it seems like the whole universe wants Shizune to look after Tsunade no matter what occasion it is. It's like her life's purpose: something scribbled in the stars, or whatever those movies about fate spout about. Truly a woman who deserves a vacation, Sakura mourns, sympathetically.

❛ I don't have anyone to go with, so I'll take you up on that, ❜ she says, trying to stay optimistic, but her face does scrunch a bit. ❛ Ino has a date and so does Hinata-chan. ❜ Figures—but no, Sakura is not going to lament. She should have fun! ❛ But this is my season, ❜ she jests, pointing at her pink hair with a wink, ❛ so I want to live my best life with you and Shishou when we go! ❜

She sees the restaurant at last, so Sakura gently directs them inside and immediately manages to find an empty table for two already. It's a quaint place: not much people today, given it's a work day, but some people are enjoying themselves over a hearty drink and food.

Leading them to the table, Sakura has to roll her eyes as she sits down. ❛ No, you didn't, but I'm honestly not surprised. She can drink out, like, five liquor stores, no joke. Did anything particularly funny stand out for this story? ❜ Nothing like a funny story to hear over dinner, after all!

Shizune did agree with Sakura, Tsunade was out there care free, blowing her savings and drowning herself in booze and having a blast doing so, while Shizune and Sakura still attended to the needs of the village. There was part of Shizune that missed the old days of traveling with the Sannin and Tonton, but another part of her that didn't miss the constant headaches. Although, even without traveling with the legendary Kunoichi, Tsunade still managed to find a way to drive Shizune and Sakura up a wall.

Her mood drops even more when Sakura mentions the upcoming flower viewing, for which Shizune was, once again, without a date.

"Well, maybe, if I get the chance and if Tsunade-sama is in the village, maybe we can all go together." She gave an awkward laugh, before mumbling something under her breath about keeping Tsunade on a short leash.

"Good idea on getting some booze to go with the mochi, I'm sure that Tsunade-sama would appreciate a gift like that." Shizune mused as they exited the hospital, just imagining the shop itself and the smell of confectionaries, but a nice hearty meal first. "Actually, I ever tell you about the time Tsunade almost drank out an entire liquor store?"

@themxtleycrew : Of course Shizune wouldn't forget about her kouhai's birthday (and totally didn't do this at the last minute!) She brought Sakura some flowers as well as passes to a luxury onsen, full pampering package.

Oh and Tayuya is here to play happy birthday on the flute.

While she is not surprised by her senpai's presence, Sakura is rather puzzled by the other one. Were they not once enemies? Why and how— Actually, she went out of her way to come to her office and play a tune for her on the flute. Sakura should not be asking questions. Consider it dropped.

With a grateful hug, she happily accepts the flowers from Shizune, then her eyes gleam brightly at the luxury onsen passes. There are three, so maybe she can give one to her best friend and daughter—Ino would most likely agree anyway, and this can also be a way to celebrate Sarada's birthday as well! This weekend will be so fun! ❛ Thank you, Shizune-san! It's been so long since I could go to an onsen. I'm definitely going to bring back some souvenirs for you! ❜
