An eyebrow raised at her words, his own honey-brown eyes meeting hers from beneath the mask. He had the feeling that she had stopped talking about food altogether, and his gaze fell to run across the lines of the menu to hide his confusion. Picking out something with a kick for her and something suitably sweet for him, he flagged down a waiter and ordered for them, Turkish rolling smoothly off of his tongue. That completed, his eyes returned to her, smiling politely.
"What'v yeh missed? Well...not much, te be honest. I've been so consumed with work I've hardly been out lately...I feel like everyone's moved on an' I kinda missed everythin'...right now I'm jus' hopin' I can catch up an' find my place..." He frowned, glaring out the window briefly as he pondered his problems.

Aw, well, yeh know me. Tryin' te the mind an' body busy. Şeker Bayramı was a bit quiet, but I can't complain. Thankfully things'r livenin' up a bit lately...I thought I'd go mad if I spent another night alone in my house watchin' soaps an' talkin' te only my dog. But what about yerself, huh? He blinked at the quote, the name ringing a distant bell somewhere inside his brain. Before he could devote more time to trying to fathom where he had heard it before, she had continued, and he gave himself a swift mental kick to force himself to pay attention to the conversation once more. He shook his head again, wonderment on his face. "A way with pissin' 'em off, perhaps, but I'd say that's about it. Not that I'm one te argue with a lady, so I suppose yeh win this round?" He glanced down at the menu at her question, gaze speculative. "Hmm...well what're yeh in the mood fer? Somethin' light, 'r somethin' more fillin'? Sweet? Savory?"
