It's even more twisted, she claims to be a Buddhist but is committing the rather substantial offence of "disrupting the sangha." Not to mention sitting on your couch 24/7 looking for sex scenes in books you're going to go apeshit over is probably not great on the 3rd through 5th Precepts either.

I only make this point because while Wayne Wheeler's legacy has caused American Christianity to be at the root of almost every moral panic, repression, and systemic injustice here, it is also quite easy for it to scoop up people who should otherwise take a nuanced and measured approach at addressing moral issues.

So the token Buddhist here (her name is in the article linked below, she's clearly quite proud of herself) isn't just guilty of wasting time, money, resources, and attention, she's creating a false "across the aisle" situation where Christian efforts at repression are granted legitimacy because "even the Buddists agree."

We won't be hunting her down for sport but emphasizing the hypocrisy and danger of this bullshit needs to keep happening.
