He notices how Dainn freezes when he touches him, and he wants to both chuckle and frown in response - but his face remains stoic as usual.
"Violent murders are preferred, and the more lives you destroy, the better. You can never settle down. You think you're doing great? Bhaal knows you can do even better. Target his enemies from time to time. Taking out clergy of the good deities is always guaranteed to please him more than some lowly bandit no one will miss." He explains to him patiently as he towers over him. "And put yourself together. Don't let anyone else see you weak like this, unless you want to become the next offering to Father."
He sighs, rubbing his temples. This isn't good. "You did well to come to me. The butler wouldn't understand this. But we need to return to that tavern immediately and take out everyone who witnessed it. That is, unless you want to be hunted by the entire city." He knows this young child wouldn't be able to handle that, wouldn't be able to fake his own death and lay low for a few years like he did. He grabs him by the chin and turns his head to the side, and then to the other, tutting in displeasure. He's too recognisable. "Do you know how to Disguise yourself?" He asks as he lets him go.
Its the middle of the night when Durge is awoken by the stumbling of limbs and shuffling of fabric- the wet drip, drip of blood hitting the stone floor.
"Father- f-father please-" Comes the hiccuped sob of the man- rather, beasts son.
Dainn is hunched before him, covered in blood. Most belonging to others, but his own is gradually mixing with the mess. He takes ragged breaths as he clutches a hand over his stomach, trying to stem the bleeding from his gaping wound with a torn bit of fabric pressed to it.
"I don't- i-i don't know what- what happened. I-i was at a tavern a-and I blacked out. C-came to with a-a guards blade i-in-in me." He whimpers, bloodied hand reaching for the wall to support his weight. "Sc-scel said i-it was Bhaal. That-that he made me kill a-all those people. Why? W-why I- I've been good!"
-@fathers-cursed-blood
He was a light sleeper so the slightest disturbance woke him up immediately. Sitting upright and reaching for his dagger, he calms down quickly as he sees it's just his good-for-nothing son. He lights up the lantern beside his bed and approaches his child.
The years of slaughter helped him recognise that most of the blood on Dainn's body wasn't actually his, except on his stomach. As he speaks, he rummages through drawers of his bedside table, taking a healing potion out of it. He strides to Dainn and pours the potion into his mouth, and checks if the wound has closed enough. Then, he takes in the pitiful sight before him. His son looks broken. He looks weak. But for once, he actually understands.
"Ah, it seems like you weren't spared of the Urge." He says as he motions for him to follow. He leads him to his 'office' where he makes him sit on a chair. Durge doesn't stop looking at him. "There are things you have to learn. Being 'good' isn't enough. You have Murder Lord's blood coursing through your veins. If you aren't pleasing my Father, he will take over. If you are straying from the path that has been set for you, he will take over. If you aren't strong enough to resist him, he will take over." He puts his clawed hand on Dainn's head in a gesture he's seen parents do. "Losing your bodily autonomy isn't pleasant, I know. And it will happen again. You can, however, learn to resist it. Find a different way to satisfy the Urge's hunger. Eventually, you'll learn to recognise the pattern, when it wants to take over. Give in when it doesn't really matter, resist and offer a different sacrifice when it does." He shares his experience, pulling his hand away, looking at his son with something akin to empathy in his flaming red eyes.
"Did anyone survive your first encounter with the Urge?" He asks, sounding almost concerned.

So and Gortash huh …
DURGE AND GORTASH SITTING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!
"Bane's Chosen and I are above such frivolous actions. Our relationship is strictly business related." (Insight check: Successful) There's an edge to his voice as he says it. He's lying and you both know it. He lowers his voice ans leans towards you. "If you go spreading these false news everywhere, I'll kill you and all of your loved ones." He threatens, meaning every word.

Durge looks very displeased. "Clearly you have more than just failed, if the child cannot follow a simple chain of command." He looks down at the butler, looking forward to seeing him die for this transgression. He's very much tempted to do it himself but he must resist, he needs to see if his offspring is as useless as his caretaker or not. He turns to Dainn.
"And you. 'Uncle'," he almost spits that word, "-who even taught you that? Sceleritas is nothing but a servant, to call him by a familial name is a disgrace to Bhaal himself." He says, meaning every word. "If I had known you'd be soiling Father's legacy like this, I would've taken out your tongue instead of your finger. Or better yet, just gotten rid of you entirely."
And when at long last, the child finally kills the wicked butler, Durge doesn't stop looking at him disapprovingly, tutting in annoyance. "That's it? No torture first to make him wish for death? This was supposed to be a punishment, not a reward." He shakes his head. "It almost looked like you didn't enjoy it either. Perhaps if you let Sceleritas bleed and scream for you, you'd be smiling now."
Master! There is a um, situation you should be aware of.
You remember your spawn, yes? The child you bit the finger from? Wellllllll he seems to have hit a...grothw spurt, of sorts.
I was planning to tell you! Honestly master I was! But well the uh- the growth spurt just ended, hooray!
The boy is now a man. Though. Truthfully I don't know how it's happened but uh, it would seem your father was quite impatient!
It remains to be seen how much he takes after you and the Baneite, he's only been on this mortal plane for less than a month after all! But oh- he does have scales like you! Not so majestic, obviously. But a human with scales should at the very least, inspire a bit of fear with regards to the dragon ancestry!
Oh eh, the boy is telling me I'm rambling now. Apologies master!
-Your loyal butler, Sceleritas Fel 🎩
"AND YOU'RE ONLY TELLING ME NOW?!" He growls, swiping with his talons at him in rage before trying to calm himself. He straightens up, crossing his arms to prevent himself from further attacks. "You're so useless sometimes. Remind me to punish you for this later, once this situation is dealt with. Actually..." He chuckles, turning to the boy - well, a man now - that had the bad luck to end up in his family tree. "Dainn. You've had time to train. Show me what you've learned. Kill this lazy butler in any way you'd like, remind him to be more diligent with his duties. Do it, now." He commands, curious as to what his child is like now.

Can I bite one of your fingers?👉👈
You can bite one of mine, what do you think?
"What a ridiculous question. You're clearly a bit feeble-minded to propose it to the child of God of Murder. Ask me something stupid like this again and I'll make sure you lose the ability to speak." He frowns, looking at them as if they were nothing but dirt on his boots. "If you beg for forgiveness now, I might give you the honour of having your finger eaten by me."

"Perfect. Make sure it understands it's purpose, and that I won't hesitate to dispose of it should it prove a threat to my plans." He pauses, thinking about something. "I could surgically insert a device into the child that could make it blow up if I give the command. Maybe a few more that would only tear apart its limbs, so it knows I have full control over its life if it tries something..." He chuckles, writing it down on a paper on his desk. "Oh and as for the name of that spawn... Dainn should suffice." He doesn't lift his head from the various documents on his desks, looking for something in particular now. He waves his hand at the butler dismissively. "That is all, go finish your bath and then follow these orders."
It was taking far longer than usual for Sceleirtas to appear to you, the butler usually appearing almost instantaneously when you call for him.
As you tap your foot impatiently, he appears in a red mist. Though something is different...
There stands Sceleritas Fel, your loyal butler, covered in blood and holding a pink towel around his waist.
"Yes master?" He asks, trying to mask the slight annoyance in his voice. "Ever so sorry for the delay, I was in the middle of a bloody bubble bath! One must still take care of their skin, even when un-ageing and immortal!"

He raises his eyebrow ridge as he sees the half naked goblinoid butler. "I sure hope the towel is of that colour because you unsuccessfully tried to wash away blood from a white fabric and not because you like pink." He chuckles, leaning into his seat, before getting to the matter at hand.
"I don't know if you've heard of it already, but I have a child now. I am unsure if it has my actual divine blood coursing through its veins or it's just magic, but the resemblance is there. It even bit the chosen of Bane." He smiles unintentionally as he thinks of Gortash. "I put it into care of the cult, but I want you to make a good use of it. Hone its innate bloodthirst, turn it into a little assassin." He orders, curious about his reaction to this.

From the Durge question ask: 3, 4, and 21?
3. What would your Dark Urge consider to be their greatest skill? Is this accurate?
The way he can bring death to everyone around him, of course! He enjoys finding new, creative ways to do it that would satisfy the Urge (and in extension, his Father). And to nobody's surprise, he's good at it. This skill comes as natural to him as breathing.
4. What would your Dark Urge consider to be their greatest flaw? Is this accurate?
His desire to be free. He doesn't always want to do what is expected of him and there's usually someone to point it out (*cough*Sceleritas*cough*). As for the accuracy, his actual biggest flaw is not pursuing that freedom. He harbours deep self-hatred that prevents him from wanting to change his fate.
21. What are 2-3 songs that your Dark Urge would relate to?
Calamity - Two Steps from Hell
Obsidian - audiomachine
Dragon's Demise - Brand X Music

"Listen to my butler. Unless you smell of gore and blood after your latest sacrifice to our Lord, I don't want to have your foul odour in my nose. The next person whose smell offends me will join the temple's decoration after extensive torture that will be mandatory to attend by everyone."
Attention all Bhaalists residing in the temple at the Undercity: I understand our halls are filled with rotting corpses, but we can all tell when you haven't showered. Please maintain basic hygiene practices or you'll become the new decorations at the entrance.

"Why is there another half chewed hand near my bedroll?" Lynn stared at Durge with one eyebrow raised and trying to hold back a laughter.
"Don't look at me, that was Scratch." He feigns ignorance. "He must have found my secret stash. I wouldn't throw body parts that didn't taste good all over the camp, and especially not near anyone's bedroll." (Insight Check: Critical Success) He's not even trying to make up a good excuse. It was him. Scratch would bring unfinished food to Owlbert.

"Ah yes, here you go." He gives him the gold and waits for the ressurection. If this works, it will change everything.
Returning with a triumphant smile, he approaches Withers again. "Would you be able to ressurect a halfling named Elias Rynwood? I have the gold ready too." He doesn't mention that he ate the poor guy. He wants to know if he's consuming the souls too and if Withers isn't willing to just tell him, he has to work around it.

For a mere pittance of coins I shall his cleave soul to body again and we shall see if jergal approves of thy request.

"Kill Shadowheart? Hmm..." He muses. He knows Father would love that, she's just another anchor to this world that he has - like the rest of his former companions and a certain Banite; therefore he should dispose of them all so he has no more distractions. However... "No. It's not her time yet." He says resolutely, and gives Sceleritas a very nasty glare that's basically saying 'say another word and you're dead'. "I'll make sure to colour the streets red instead. Whatever my highest body count in one night was before, I'm going to surpass it."
While I don't doubt you're merely playing the long game, you've been awfully erm...Nice, recently master! Hardly any wicked behaviour at all- your father is becoming oh so displeased with you, he's even threatened to take away that lovely Slayer form he gifted you!!
I only want the best for you master, perhaps some murder is in order yes? Bhaal hasn't had a sacrifice from you in quite a while, I'd so dread to see you suffer because of it! And I'm sure your knife arm must be most unhappy, not even getting used!
-Your loyal butler, Sceleritas Fel 🎩
"Nice? I feel like I didn't stray that far... It's hard to balance everyone's needs." He sighs in frustration, knowing that it's his former allies' fault - they keep stopping him from having fun. "Hmm, even though I haven't brought out the Slayer in quite some time, it would be a shame to lose that ability." There just haven't been any good moments to turn into the avatar of Lord of Murder. He misses the times when he had so many enemies after him. Even Vlaakith's soldiers have seemingly left him alone, which is such a shame because they always put up a nice fight.
"It hasn't been a tenday yet but I think I know what you mean. Father expects me to do better than his regular followers." He pauses to contemplate the next course of action, how to make it up to his Father. What if he-
A smile stretches on his face and he feels his bloodlust rise from just the idea he has. "I'm going to kill various clerics of Father's divine enemies. Make them feel abandoned by their gods as I butcher them in Bhaal's name, their mangled corpses put on display for everyone... This is going to be a long night. Feel free to accompany me, Sceleritas. It's nice to have an appreciative audience."

"Tempting. There are some, let's say, experiments I'd like to try on an undead, immortal body. And since you're offering your spawn so freely, who am I my to reject such offer." He smiles, all of his pointy teeth on full display as his mind is brimming with ideas of what he could do to the new vampires, things that mortals can't handle without dying. "Some knowledge is best gained by hands-on experience after all~"
"So... You're the vampire lord who's spawns keep taking the people I could kill. I sure hope you have a good use for them." The dragonborn eyes him as if he's nothing special, just a nuisance. "Although I doubt it's better than brutally murdering them."
-@ask-thedarkurge
"Oh? If brutality is what you seek then perhaps you'd like to make a visit to my kennels. The newer spawn tend to need some...persuasion, to obey without the need for our vampiric bond. Perhaps you'd like to assist in 'breaking them in', hm?" Cazador responds, a wicked smile on his face.
"Your reputation precedes you, Durge. I'd love to see your techniques put into practice, I hear you're rather adept in such things. Think of this as an...open invitation. I take your murder victims, yes. But now they're essentially immortal, and you're free to torture them however you like."
