If the trap fails, what else could you do to try to catch him?

Rea: well, if the trap fails, we'll have to either make a new one or find a different target to test this one on after fixing it...*trap sounds* but it doesn't look like we'll have to worry about that! the trap has successfully done its job, and now, we can continue with our plans! Now, what to do with the one we caught...

Rea: alright, the trap is in place, and the special symbol that seems to lure the phantom has been placed upon it. Now, its just a matter of time before we catch him!

After you test them, who or what are you actually going to use the traps on?

Rea: we have our ideas. now, as for how we're going to test the trap. we have heard of this 'phantom' character. apparently, he has never been captured by anyone. by testing the trap by catching him, we will prove its effectiveness while showing the humans in that world we are not to be messed with.

Rea: hmmm. Seems like it wouldn't matter who tests the trap. Since I have it with me, it would be faster if I do it.

Rea: My apologies, Goddess of Nature. I assumed there was someone or something out there that could solve my riddle, but I was mistaken. We'll test it now, and then, we'll catch those Originals!

Viridi: Or, I could do it, since it was my creation, and I feel like I could get a better chance with this.

Rea: We'll see.

Mana: I'll be sad to see it go, but I know that the ashes that remain will help new ones grow, and prevent non native ones from growing. So, do as you think you must, it isn't hurting anything.

Sticks, who's your best friend?

Sticks: Oh, I see how it is! You get me to answer something like that, and then WHAM! You kidnap them and hold them hostage so I'll do what you want! Well, you can't fool me that easily!

nature guards huh? does that mean you guys protect the environment?

Rea: I feel like we answered a question like this before, but yes, that's what we do: protect the natural world from those awful humans and the fools that support them.

Would by any chance you be after that Jet Set Radio dude Beat?

Rea: No. Remember, the one we're after takes his dog with him everywhere he goes. From what I've been able to tell, this Beat character leaves his dog behind when he goes out.

Rea: Hmmm. It seems that people can no longer send answers to our "Who's going in the trap" question. No matter, I've done some more research on those Sega types, and I have an idea of who we're going to test this thing on. Many have tried to catch him before, but all have failed. While that may seem to stack the odds against us, all he's ever had to deal with were a bunch of other humans, and he stayed within the same electricity-guzzling city the whole time. He's never faced anything like us! Plus, when we do catch him, we can free that dog that he takes with him everywhere. Hooray!

Rea: Yes, our first answer! Hmmm..."Sanic"? I'm going to ignore your misspelling of the characters' name, and just say that, as much as I want to, I can't test the Aether Ring trap on him. He is an Original, and I need all the Originals to get to where we are safely. There's no way to guarantee that will happen in an untested device. Sorry, but you'll have to pick someone else.

(Well, it seems Sonic, or Sanic, as ponydrawagenaufnote calls him, will be safe for a little while longer. Keep trying, everyone!)

Rea: I just can't understand it. I've seen that NiGHTS character, on several occasions, showing affection for a human. Certainly someone whose been around as long as he would know how horrible humans really are. He should be siding with me!

Stormy: You mean, with us, right?

Rea: Uhh, yes, of course! Wait, this is my room, why are you even here?

Stormy: I came to tell you, our silent partner says the Aether Ring traps have been completed. Now we just need to test them. So, any ideas on who we're going to catch?

Rea: I know I want to test the trap on one of those Sega folks, but I'm not sure which one. Hmm...I don't like humans at the best of times, but if any of them can narrow it down for us, I think I can handle it.

Why are you called the Nature Guards? Why not the Mismatched Group of Jolly Cooperation?

Rea: We call ourselves the Nature Guards because it describes what we do. We use our power over the natural world to protect it.  I am the fairy of the water stars, and in my other form, I can talk to animals. Mana can make plants grow, and transform them into sentient creatures. Stormy can control the weather. Kimber can move the ground. Era can bring extinct things back to life. Sticks...well, she's mostly for recon. We will never call ourselves by the name you've suggested because it doesn't describe what we do, not to mention how stupid it sounds.

Do any of you have experience in battlefields? *BOOM*

Rea: I've never used those weapons that you humans so enjoy, but in this form, I'm quite the powerful fighter. Sticks has been practicing with her boomerang so she can be ready for her big debut, and the others use a virtual training program to better themselves, so in a way, we do have some battlefield experience.
