Sky twirled around to see where the threat went and for the first time since meeting her she got serious, "He's moving fast but not far, I think he's going to try and kill you while you're in this predicament. I did catch him off guard though. Does he know magic? Depending on your answer will tell me how far he's going."
“….I would appreciate it greatly if you would help me.” Bashur said to the owner of the shadow that had fallen across the ground within his tilted cone of vision. The Minotaur braced his hands against the trunk of the tree, and tried yet again to pull himself free with a great growl of effort. The tree creaked in a protest of its own, but after a few moments, the warrior gave in with a frustrated sigh.
No good. His horns were still stuck tight.
“Or, if you are not so inclined, kindly stop staring.” Bashur lashed his tail side to side in irritation. “It’s rude.”

Sky stared up at the Minotaur before walking backwards through the foliage, "Well that's smart, but he won't account for you much smaller accomplice in the same area. The tracks here seem more recent by the way, so he can't have gotten far."
She climbed his shoulder again to help with a stubborn branch and backed away once he was free again.
Not noticing anything amiss behind her.

"Why didn't you just smash the tree dude? You honestly had every right to just destroy the tree at that point." Sky wasn't going to judge the guy, she's pretty sure he didn't want to cause unnecessary damage.
That being said, she didn't know how to help the large guy with his... problem with walking.
"Should you try crawling at this point? I don't know anything that can help you navigate dude." Though she did find the amount of leaves in his hair funny.

It's finally time to reveal the second uncle in the DnD campaign I play in
It's Hiroki's, Flams' right hand man. Also a Fire Giant and currently his class is unknown, but it's known that he likes music and he likes to smash.

Sky salutes and immediately sees tracks once she stands up, I'll assume these are their tracks? Let's go!"
Sky lead the way, walking a bit to the side so she can see the Minotaur once they start moving.
She hoped to learn more about this new person.

You can tell she's trying not to laugh, "How rude, didn't think to help a fella out? Need a hand friend?"
The stranger peaked her interest and she hopes her friends won't mind a little alone time, away from them and in company of another.
Probably a bad idea to run off with a stranger in unfamiliar territory, but Sky hadn't made any questionable decisions in a while.

"M'names Sky, sorry for staring." Now that he could see her better, he noticed she had snowy white hair and blue eyes.
Faintly in the light, hints of green scales shimmer across her skin.
"So what's a stranger like you doing in a place like this?"

The human looked up at the Minotaur and chuckled before climbing his shoulders, "Sorry! Sorry! How in the hell did someone as tall as you not see the tree?"
She braces her back on his head and her feet on the branch to push, not realizing she could fall and seriously hurt herself.
But push she did until the horns separated from the wood.

Updated curse mechanics bc the players want to look it up in the demigod library and I actually need to explain it in-campaign now, GO!:
Originally a punishment from the goddess Aadi, meant to curse an arrogant wizard who killed her mother’s beloved creatures in their pursuit of eternal life.
To Aadi’s horror, the wizard and their cult were able to reverse-engineer the curse and learn how to cast it, themselves.
In one last jab at their mortal arrogance, Aadi cursed the knowledge they had obtained.
One person may know how to place the curse, or one may know how to remove it - both cannot be known at the same time.
Pros:
No aging
Reformation in perfect health upon death
Potions and magic healing still work perfectly
Cons:
Still feel pain
Can still die of mortal wound or illness
Biological healing slowed to a point it almost doesn’t matter
Bad luck increased (disadvantaged death saves + 15% more likely to receive critical hits)
Additionally, those under the curse cannot leave their plane of origin under their own power (any arcane force stronger than they are may still move/pull them to other planes, but the cursed may not cross the threshold under their own power).
The only surviving record of the curse in full was the Emperor’s Grimoire, which was once owned by Velenna, and later her student, Chaydziel.
The grimoire was destroyed by Velenna during the battle that felled the Dark King, supposedly destroying all knowledge of the curse on the mortal plane.
Chaydziel retained the knowledge of how to cast the curse, however, and continued to do so for a thousand years on his own personal quest to recreate the grimoire and recreate the curse the way those ancient wizards originally had.

((Couldn’t settle on just one image to promo this blog, so I made one per muse. Don’t @ me I just really like glowing eyes. Maybe I could do multiple promo posts, and just space them out in my queue to keep from spamming the tags?))

Te Tauti (Porcupine) fish helmet https://collections.tepapa.govt.nz/object/267666
This is a warrior’s helmet, made from the dried skin of a porcupine fish (Diodon sp., probably Diodon hystrix), lined with plaited pandanus strips. The skin is oriented so that the tail forms a peak at the back and the two fins form wings on either side. The lining has been partly plaited to fit, like a rounded basket, but then cut and overlapped in three places so that it fits snugly. The base is edged with a roll of plant fibre which has been neatly sewn to the edge of the skin with a blanket stitch in fine twisted cord of light and dark fibres.
