Honestly, with all the advancements in technology nowadays it’s really fucking easy to keep up or catch up with someone. It’s not hard to shoot someone a quick fb message, text, snapchat, leave an Instagram comment, tweet someone, etc, etc. There are so many ways to keep in touch with someone when you don’t get to see them every day. So if you’re telling me you were too fucking busy with your life to say a simple “hey” through text message, something’s not right. If you’re unwilling to take a second or two out of your day to respond to my messages then don’t expect any effort on my behalf. Going to college and coming home for summer break has truly showed me who my true friends are. The ones that try to keep the conversation going even from across the state are the ones that you want to keep around because those are true friends. The ones that give you half ass short texts with no substance or consistency are the ones that you can forget about. Not really sure what I’m trying to get at with this dumb rant, but this is just something I’ve realized recently.
