"What the Night Knows" By: Dean Koontz
So, this novel was pretty gruesome! But it was still really good! Dean Koontz is a decent writer and although I do not like reading these types of novels on the regular, I did enjoy this one. It took place in the past and present, elaborating on each story in different chapters. It was definitely a freaky read! It definitely gave me chills at certain points. It was both supernatural and murder mystery all in one! Good read, for both men and women! 4/5

"Message in a Bottle" By: Nicholas Sparks
I'm a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks and have read a lot of his novels. This one was definitely a tear jerker and I will admit that I cried at the end, aha. It was absolutely amazing though and I REALLY enjoyed it! The idea behind it was very intriguing and he really put everything together well. I'd highly suggest this novel for women, especially those who love a really romantic, adorable, tear jerker every once in a while! 5/5

"Heart of the Matter" By: Emily Giffin
I personally love Emily Giffin as a writer and have read all of her novels. This one was definitely really good! This book explores how one incident can change two families lives forever. Accidents can both bring people together as well as destroy relationships and that is the main dilemma in this novel. There is definitely romance in this novel but there is also more than that and the unexpected ending ties the book together very well. I'd only really suggest this for women and would give it 3.5/5 stars

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" By: Stephen Chbosky
I literally read the entire thing in one sitting today! It was great! I haven’t really been into young adult novels much anymore because I’m in that awkward phase of being too old for them, yet too young to relate to books about divorce and marriage and babies but this book was adorable. It was also somewhat relatable. It definitely has a unique format however, which some may not like. It’s written in letters. But in my opinion, this format made the book more personal, and raw. Kind of like you were seeing someone through their own personal journal and I really enjoyed. I think it is a gender friendly book and both male and female would enjoy it, I know I did! 4/5 stars!!

"The Walking Dead Compendium One"
Well I guess technically this isn’t a novel per se but it’s a graphic novel! aha. Well anyways, this was the first graphic novel that I have ever read and although it was kind of weird to read it at first I have to say I enjoyed it! I also happen to watch the TV series, and I do have to say that they are quite different from each other! Although there are many similarities, there are also just as many differences and for those who love the show and are missing their zombie fix during this midseason finale, I highly suggest reading it! This compendium leaves off exactly where the midseason finale did! There is also a second compendium out that I will be reading this week! Can’t wait! I think that this is a good read for both males and females although I do have to say, some parts are more graphic then depicted in the show. Definitely a good read! 4/5

"I've Got Your Number" By: Sophie Kinsella
This book was really good! 4/5 stars! It was a little bit different, because it took place in Europe & they said some things funny because I’m from the US and we have some different terms. It was a cute mix of mystery, comedy, and some romance (for those of you who do not like sappy romance novels, don’t worry, this novel was not sappy). The author tied up all the loose ends & did not leave the reader guessing what happened to the characters & did a great job of tying it all together and answering the reader’s questions. I would definitely recommend this book to any girl.. Not much of a guy’s novel :p Also, this is also the author who wrote “Confessions of a Shopaholic”! I got another book by her for Christmas, so as soon as I read that I’ll let you know how that one is as well!
