     Nobody would recognize the new face amongst the survivors. One who could be identified if taken enough time to speak to them. However, getting them to speak rather than glare or hiss at the others was the real caveat. Wearing the teal and red jacket, clearly a pirate in their days outside of the Entity's Realm. Stripped of their rifle and knives. A pale, underweight soul -- just how they looked before joining their crew. Not yet the powerful presence they had become.      It is disgusting having flesh again ; appalled to feel the sensation of skin, of the need to breath. Everything feels so. . . cold without the curse. Isolated away from their crewmates and their captain. A punishment that does little to make them desire to play by the rules. Their life is devoted to one alone.      Chi lets out a heavy sigh, sitting atop one of the many broken walls scattered across the realm, dark eyes scanning before they fall on a familiar face. Their time could not be spent as often at the Fortress due to the shift -- embarrassed to show their face before their King ; evading the gaze of the others to hide the weakness of flesh they now possess. So, they find themselves left in the open clearing, having to deal with the ones they would torture and kill not even a day ago.      Of course -- in their own fleshie form -- many would be taller than them. How irking, “ Are you going to sit there gawking or are you going to move along, wretch? ” Still prickly, even if their strength is gone.

the interesting fact that going through the quotes of the Ashen Lords. . . Ruth's quotes: - You’re so disappointing. . . - Are you really the best there is? to - How are you doing this?! - How could I let this happen?!

Grimm's quotes: - No-one ever beats me! - You can do better than that. to - How are you still alive?! - This can’t happen to me!

Horatio's quotes: - You’re not so tough! - You’re strong—but I’m stronger! to - Stand still so I can kill you! - Keep away from me!

and then there's Chi. . . - There is only one way this ends! - You’re as good as dead! to - I’m not letting you leave! - I won’t be beaten so easily!

Grimm is the only one who outright boasts about his skills and actually sort of teases you while fighting. Considering his quotes also include "Something in your eye? Heh heh heh" when creating the ashen cloud, "Love a good explosion!" for the shockwave, and "Come a little closer. . ." when using the flame breath. He gets a little bit frustrated as phases go on, but just sorta takes more of a chill stance compared to the other. And also tries to call you a little shit before going boom at his defeat or gets hella unhappy. Ruth mocks your strength + strategy. Saying that it is too easy and calling out your tactics with "Interesting tactic. . ." and "What curious combat this is!" Boasting that she is not so easy to kill and her lack of need for bullets + "Flesh is so frail!" But she does start getting frustrated towards phase 3, realizing she went in far too arrogant and the way she says "How could I let this happen?!" is just a bit oof. She ends up analyzing your ability and swears to come back. Horatio seems to be very atuned to Flameheart, mentioning him the most out of all the Lords ( 5 of his quotes are related to Flameheart. Chi mentions him twice, Ruth mentions one time, and Grimm has none ). He kinda takes it a mix between Ruth and Grimm, roasting you both figuratively and literally, while also boasting about his skills. Also realizes he may be in over his head at times such as "I’ve pushed too hard!" but also has a bit of fun like "I can see you. . ." when creating the ashen cloud. In denial that he can be defeated at the end. And Chi. Oh dear, Chi. Every single one of their quotes has an ! at the end of it unless they are giving a mocking question. They don't boast about their strength save for two quotes about them not being easy to defeat, but mostly talk about the fact they are going to take you, imprison you and torture you. Even hints at it during the fight with things like "I want to hear you SCREAM!", "I can’t wait to clap you in irons!", "Soon you’ll be mine, for keeps!", and "I’ll string you up for that!" In a sense they are boasting their skills, but it is mostly just taunting. They do not give any sort of compliment towards you like the others or even directly mock your skill. You are an annoying little insect and they are going to make you squirm. They do not want to kill you until you push them, because they want to keep you like another horrible trophy in their prison. And as stated before, they are a sore loser and perhaps didn't even think it was possible for them to lose. Also, with those quotes. . . Chi gives me the vibes that they always had some self-esteem issues when they were younger, so a way to work through it was to put on a mask and work to outshine everyone around them -- expects perfection from themselves but also those who work under them. In competition with others, even the other Lords, for praise. And oh boy did they love getting Flameheart's praise.

thoughts of Survivor Chi for their DbD verse. Extremely grumpy and a bit disoriented since they are used to being very tall, having to remember how to use flesh and muscles, how to breathe properly, deal with being cold. Very quick witted and probably a pain in the ass for killers to deal with but equally so for other survivors. Chi most definitely prefers to be on the powerful side, and gets extremely uncomfortable when they are on the weaker side. Weakness is something they cannot stand, especially in themselves or those they must deal with. Add insult to injury they appear closer to how they were before joining Flameheart's crew: stuck in their dead-end merchant job having yet tasted the life of a pirate.

the fact a lot of Chi's quotes could be in question about their meaning. . . primarily brought up because of "Fresh meat to play with" and "You're mine, forever!" just saying

     It is not a sense of justice or the desire to even the playing field. Such senses were something they were devoid of -- a natural sense that was just never one they acquired. And that's quite the reputation to handle. ” They give a glance around, taking note of the number of people who had been caught in the crossfire.      “ What did you even do to piss off this lot? ”

Addy's gotten herself out of some pretty risky situations. It wasn't that she was completely helpless in the situation. What kind of biologically enhanced person intended to be an assassin would she be if being outnumbered was a damning factor? But, well, it's not just a simple case of being outnumbered, there had been a lot of them, and...well, her knowing her chances were better than they looked doesn't necessarily mean Chi knew that.

She glances around for a second. "Well, part of my question still stands: why? Why were were you after these guys?" She's still paranoid suspicious by nature. So yeah, regardless of the specifics, Addy still wants to know why they were around the people trying to kill her. Why were they targets, was them being here at the same time of them coming after her truly a coincidence?

"Funny, I was about to ask if you were targeting people searching for me to get my attention." She crosses her arms, glancing them over.

also thought: if Chi ever got a punishment of being turned into a survivor in their DbD AU. . . . from very tall, very intimidating spicy skellie to 5'6 still pretty intimidating pirate who will still throw hands even if they are lacking their literal fire power. Even when they were a fleshie, Chi was still spicy, somebody who could make pirates twice their size squirm in pain and spill all their secrets. They would specialize in keeping track of where the killer is and the other survivors, although can provide a motivation to others around them
