We already knew that Matt Walsh’s documentary “What Is A Woman” was essentially him talking over the work and activism that women have been doing for years, and acting like a big hero for it.
Now the daily wire is selling adult human female shirts, like the ones Kellie-Jay/Posie Parker has been selling for years (here’s the YouTube short about it).

As Kellie-Jay says, she doesn’t own the dictionary definition of woman. But Matt Walsh has already been on thin ice for propping himself up as some sort of women’s rights hero by regurgitating points women have already been making…so to see him continue this by copying an iconic t-shirt design made by a woman is incredibly frustrating.
These two comments say it better than I could:

And here’s Matt’s response
Tumblr media
The issue is that he’s putting himself in the spotlight of a conversation that women should be leading. He’s stepping on the toes of women who’ve been fighting this long before he has, and he’s making bad copies of their work to profit off of (which means that instead of money for these kinds of shirts going towards fighting for women’s rights, it’s going in a man’s pocket). And he keeps pulling this “well you agree with what I say so why don’t you shut up” card whenever women point it out.
Men, especially conservative men who ultimately don’t care about women’s rights, have no place leading this fight. They have no place holding themselves up as heroes, especially while they walk all over the work women have already done and claim it as their own.

I genuinely despise that q word. Why can't we go back to using specific words. Use lesbian and gay and bisexual. I hate seeing 'kweer' everyfuckingwhere

Breast ironing is the pounding and massaging of a pubescent girl’s breasts, using hard or heated objects, to try to make them stop developing or to disappear. It is typically carried out by the girl’s mother who will say she is trying to protect the girl from sexual harassment and rape, to prevent early pregnancy that would tarnish the family name, or to allow the girl to pursue education rather than be forced into early marriage. It is mostly practiced in parts of Cameroon, where boys and men may think that girls whose breasts have begun to grow are ready for sex. (Source)
My thoughts are that I just wish we didn’t live in a world where a girl has to be physically mutilated in order to feel safe from rape and harassment.

I redid this older comic I made for my storytelling class based on this post. Have some cute wlw love in your day.
It’s hard, if I had more free time I could make it so pretty, this is what I could throw together for the assignment.
