It’s finally done!! My first bookbinding project!
I got the idea when I saw “Turning Fanfiction into the Hardcover Book it Deserves” by Jess Less on youtube. I used several other videos as cross-reference for instructions but this one really inspired me and I wanted to do it myself!
Around this time, I had started to reread one Valley Of Serenity by @lnterjection aloud to my mom. I really loved this fanfiction and I thought it deserved it, so here it is!

It has been a fun journey but finally I have finished it. The book binding of Sleuth Jesters is done.
I'm speechless—it looks incredible!!! Oh my gosh, I love the cover and how beautifully it came together!!!
NGL, this really makes me emotional. It's always been a dream of mine for others to hold a physical copy of my writing and seeing this just makes me so incredibly happy! Thank you for sharing this and for doing this with Sleuth Jesters!

I know Tumblr is the snark site, but for the past several years I've been the producer on a time-looping RPG called In Stars and Time by @insertdisc5, and it has been one of the best experiences of my career. Think of how Americans and the British say “Pants.” Think of how they say “Aluminum.” Language is often inconsistent and difficult. Give people some slack!
Not to mention, it’s often just not worth looking up the pronunciation on the internet because it would break you out of whatever work flow you’re in. It’s just easier to say “I hope this is right, please forgive me” because I think it’s not wrong for anyone to expect that kindness of people. It should be good and acceptable to expect kindness of people.
Is it maybe a little lazy to not look up the pronunciation? Yes, yes it is. But I am firmly of the belief that laziness in specific instances is really just efficiency.
So be nice!! All of you! Be kind and forgive the simple things.
Because if you can’t forgive the simple things, how will you ever forgive big things??
youtubers love to say “i hope i’m pronouncing that correctly” while recording themselves in a video that they upload to the internet, which they have access to
