Neku is the only one who can make Joshua not giggle, but laugh. Sometimes he’ll crack a joke so lame Joshua can’t help but begrudgingly snicker while rolling his eyes, or he’ll just pin him down and tickle him until he’s threatening to shoot him again (at this point they can make light of it). Neku finds ways to bring out the good things about being human in Joshua and make him laugh till he cries, or flush when embarrassed – anything that forces him to drop the act and simply be human, unapologetically.
i’m still not super set on the color palette and tumblr’s probably going to munch this boy up anyway but gosh darn it wil deserves a wavefile outfit too
Hey all!  Just like last time the number one most frequent question is about what music is used where, so here’s the new list of music.  Also, the names of all the locations are gonna be said, so don’t read this if you’re bothered by spoilers!  Though now that the game’s been out for a bit I’m gonna freely talk about potential spoilers, so if you wanna play the game play it before reading anything on the blog!
Intro area — Dire, Dire Docks from Super Mario 64
Hub — Moonsong from Cave Story
Circlefriend Fightyplace — A mixture of a German song called Erika: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHF9e5JAlI0 and some other song that I actually don’t know the name of.  If someone figures it out, it’d be awesome if you could let me know!  The second part of the song is Auf der Vogelwiese, which is another random German song.Â
Fun fact: I originally searched “Grinder” on freesound, hoping for a sound to make when Spherefriend Yellow is saved from the pillar, but when I found this I couldn’t resist making it the music for the level.
The Flying Castle — Death Mountain from Zelda: ALTTP
The Shamrock Prison — Grunty Industries  (Inside) from Banjo Tooie
S.H.A.M. 5000 battle — Meta Knight’s Revenge from SSBB, originally from Kirby
Castle du Shamrock — Gloomy Galleon from Donkey Kong 64
Strip Club — A section of music from the song “Run Away,” the clip is more commonly known as Epic Sax Guy
Ye Cushionede Cathedral — Temple of Time from Zelda: OOT
Room Before Shamrock King — Room Before Boss from Yoshi’s Island
Shamrock King battle — Ievan Polkka by Korpiklaani. Â
Another fun fact: I had no idea about the “leekspin epig dankest maymay :^)” until after I had already chosen the music.  I just searched for something along the lines of “finnish metal folk song” and this was one of the results I liked the best.
Signville — Shadow Temple from Zelda: OOT
Signman Boss — Enmity of the Dark Lord from Binding of Isaac
The Fantabula — Hi Hi Hi (Saturn Valley) from Earthbound
Victory Music — Run Toward The Sun from La-Mulana
Sausage Get — The song from this scene of Freddie Got Fingered. Â
Yet another fun fact:  this was NOT a Vinesauce reference, as it seems to be commonly believed, and instead was just the only sausage-related song I could think of when designing the game. This is not surprising considering the limited market on songs about sticks of meat.
Songs in the credits zone — Dank Dank Docks, Kirby Green Greens, The Llama Song (can’t find it on youtube)
“Man, it has been some time since I’ve opened up this blog! Which by the way, suuuuper duuuper sorry for!! Life kinda made me busy and stuff! That and a couple of my friends have suggested that it’d be great for me to go to college… I’m still debating though…”
“But despite that, you guys are free to ask questions now!!!”
