His magic was...off, after arriving to this new world.
Mithra’s first thoughts were, unfortunately, that something had happened to Rutile or Mitile. But...if that were the case, then he shouldn’t be able to summon his magical tool. Which was also...off, he had noticed.
The crystal skull gifted to him by the boys’ mother had completely changed into a candy skull which, by all means, shouldn’t have been possible. And yet, he couldn’t get it to change back no matter what he tried.
On top of that, it seemed like he was only able to teleport; except he couldn’t teleport any further than a certain distance - that being the length of an entire one of these “wards” scattered around the circular city. Which meant, he had no hopes of teleporting home, not to mention, teleporting anymore than five times a day.
( That one, he found out the hard way. )
Still...maybe they’d be able to find some magical hotspots around that could aid them? That was the only thing Mithra could really think of trying, which lead them on another teleporting spree, opening door after door to try and find whatever he could.
But on the third door, after opening it up, they noticed that someone was peering in curiously - a woman with an odd headpiece that appeared almost like elongated cat ears. Well...it wasn’t a reaction they hadn’t seen before, but it was a little irritating when they were trying to complete a task.
So, the redhead stepped through the doorway and closed the magical wooden door behind them, giving off a small sound of acknowledgement to her presence before he went to try and move past her.
“Pardon me...”

The Archimedes Ward had quickly grown to be one of Mithra’s preferred locations in the Spirale.
It wasn’t the architecture that pulled him in - it was grand, certainly, but nothing that really caught his attention - but the locations scattered around. Food, nice views, plenty of water - it was by the banks of these swimming locations that made this strange new world feel almost like home.
Well. Minus the fact people were actually swimming in the waters. Most humans would have to be insane to try to do that by the Lake of Death, given the freezing temperatures of the Northern Kingdom. And, well, the fact that any village that tried to build itself up nearby was decimated by the climate within only a few years. Hell, sometimes only a few months if the weather was bad enough.
At the moment though, he had his sights more set on the food that he could find here, opting to walk after realizing he could only teleport so many times in a day. It was better to save that spell for when he actually needed it, after all. Still, walking meant interacting with other people - not something he usually enjoyed doing - though it seemed like he didn’t have much of a choice in the matter today as a young man with mis-matched eyes seemed to be approaching him.
Part of him couldn’t help but wonder if he had pulled something similar to Owen in order to get that but...this kid didn’t entirely look capable of that either.
“...did you need something?”

In over a thousand years of existence, waking up in an entirely new world was...new. And new was bothersome.
No matter what he did, no matter how many teleportation doors he tried to open, he couldn’t get a pathway open to the Sage’s Castle, or even to the Northern Country. Hell, he couldn’t connect to any of the countries back home. To make matters worse, the Crystal Skull gifted to him by Tiletta had been replace by a different skull that was most certainly not crystal.
None of the other Wizards were anywhere in sight, nor was the Sage, and he couldn’t summon them either. In fact, he couldn’t use any of his magic. Combined with the fact he hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep in at least six days...it was no wonder that he was irritated.
Still, their threats didn’t seem to work on the operator of the strange...box he climbed into. They were left with a pamphlet, a strange device that lit up when he tapped the glass, and even more questions than answers as they stepped out and looked over the house in front of them.
“What a bother...” Mithra’s voice came out as a sigh, glancing around the area before his gaze landed on...another mop of red hair. Interesting.
The Wizard walked over, reaching out and gripping onto the man’s arm - weird, he dressed just like the previous Sage. Was he one of those poor souls who had to work under the evil queen who withheld his...what did he call it, “overtime pay” as well? - before speaking up. Maybe he had been to another world as well, like the Sage had, if they were so similar looking.
...and weirdly enough, this guy looked like...a copycat. Not close enough to be like that one he fought before, but...
“You...you know what’s going on around here, correct?”
