Quit asking witch blogs for medical advice and go see a doctor

Unless someone explicitly states they are a doctor do not ask people across the internet for medical advice. Essential oils are NOT substitutes for actual medicine. It makes witches really uncomfortable when we get asks like this in our inbox.

When you ask a non doctor medical questions you are willfully denying yourself accurate medicinal treatments, doing that could end up harming you further. The witch blogger on the other side of the screen doesn’t know if the advice they give is going to interact with your current medication. If anything goes wrong they could be held liable and that’s not fair since they are not a doctor.

Don’t be those asshole who ask non doctors for medical advice. Go see a trained professional and get that proper diagnosis.

The "can't pour from an empty cup" philosophy is really important to me when it comes to self care; I'm not good at honoring my own needs but I can recognize that I help others better when I'm doing okay. That said, I like to think your conviction helps me push just a little harder. I am tired, but perhaps can care for one more person. Maybe if we all nudge ourselves, the world can be just a little brighter. And for some that'll make all the difference.

I’m tired of gritty, “the gods are dying” type posts that list how each individual one is giving up on their domain, falling to the rise of technology and pollution, ect ect. I understand the appeal of writing it, it’s just that uh… those are my gods. And I see it everywhere.

Since I was a kid, I trained myself on tales of heroes carving evil off the face of the world, one duel at a time. I thought I could work towards that power and smite those who become monsters. But there are so many of them, banding together and smiting innocents for the crime of existing. I'm realizing that monsters were never the size of us, but tower over continents, and I wonder if direct combat was a naive dream. /Can/ innocents really be saved by purging the world of abusers?

No. But it can be saved by protecting the innocent. Life before Death, my friend. You’ll come closer to the brighter day you dreamed of as a child by protecting those who need you before prioritizing vengeance.

Because every person you shield, you help up, is one more person to take up the quest, to take from your example and spread its influence in the world around you. Through this, I believe the world will be saved, by reminding the world that decency is real and we can rise to the occasion. Have faith in that Light.
