I'm rereading Ryoma's wiki and every paragraph is like "so anyway, he saw Xander and just started attacking him" and I'm like ???? RYOMA HONEY. And also their fuckin warriors quotes with each other. They're both weirdly formal and Yet

Gerome's hand closed over hers, her fortune suspended. Cynthia would have told him off, but he was so gentle in his movements that she couldn't. She was more surprised than anything. Cynthia let him pull her close, her heart skipping several beats. It wasn't fair how easily he could turn her into mush.

"I do believe in you!" Always had, always would. How could she not? After all, he believed in her when they were children, when she had taken him up into the clouds on her pegasus. She believed in him now, side by side in battle and in all other ways.

But she didn't want to tell him that she needed that extra assurance from something higher than them both. Cynthia needed to know they would both survive this, somehow. The fortunes helped in that regard.

She kissed the end of his nose. "I know we're both safe as long as we've got each other. So you have to believe in me too, okay?"
