I was rewatching OBX s1 and in ep2 Lucky Compass, at the beginning i noticed something about JJ.

Do y'all remember when Jb and JJ went to Ms Lana's house and the guys who shot at them were there.

Well look how scared JJ looked- It made me want to cry

Because it emphasises how a part of him will always feel the abuse and violence

And he will still be triggered by loud noises and it's so sad to see him like this

Also can i say Rudy Pankow's acting is 100% amazing

Can i also point out that John B kept telling JJ to shut up like he didn't care that his abused friend was being triggered by the fight inside the house.

ofc i love JB and JJ's friendship

but like i have said before and i will say it again:

JJ is the one who is mostly caring whereas John B sometimes forgets to be the supportive friend JJ needs

jj is gay and a bottom and I have evidence to back my claims

I’m was a big believer in jj not being straight from the minute I first saw him, even before knowing jjpope existed as a ship

it was around the time season 4 of stranger things. I found out about something called “the hanky code” that queer men in the 80 used to signal to other queer men that they were gay

The placing of the hanky, in either the left or right back pocket of the leg wear, would communicate whether you were a top (dominant) or a bottom (submissive), with the left being for the former and the right for the latter.

and guess what? jj has his hanky in his right pocket which means he’s a bottom

And yes it’s always in his right pocket:

And no I don’t think it’s a fashion thing because my man has the worst fashion sense. It makes sense he wouldn’t be able to be out and proud in a place like the outer banks where 1)people are so god awful 2) his dad is like the worst human to grace the earth

headcanons aside I do belive this was a deliberate choice token for someone in the clothing department (someone who doesn’t really believes jj is straight or likes to think jj is a queer man) anyways I don’t think jj was supposed to be straight from the beginning of the show but the showeunners made him straight for the viewers because they wanted jiara to be canon..
