Inktober Day 30: Catch Not all Mambang are able to roam freely as others. There have been one report in the past that stretches to the 40s when a group of explorer from South America came to Sarawak forest for mining exercise. They stumbled upon a Mambang class-3 that was attacked them but miraculously felt into hibernation mode before it able to destroy the whole crew. Using the mining tools they built a makeshift constraint to keep the Mambang in the spot. They thought it would only lasted for a month, yet few hundred years later it still stood where it was first built. Inktober Day 28: Ride Kutu Kura-Kura or Symilis Ridieopiti is an insect based Mambang type-2 that were discovered back in the 1920s by a MAD researcher that stumbled upon it by accident when they were lost in the Bukit Bendera hills. Known for its human friendly behavior and the pattern on its back that resembles turtle's shell hence the name Kutu Kura-kura. Inktober Day 23: Ancient Mambang are an ancient being. It was once seen as deities and guardians in some part of nusantara, and some still is. One of the well known ancient Mambang is Bhujanga or the Serpent Valley, a Mambang class-2. Its dated around 110 AD and have lived among the ancient ruins of Bujang Valley in Kedah. As the last Bhujanga dissapeared, all that is left is the temple ruins and statue that contains the tales of the Mambang on the markings. Inktober Day 22: Ghost Mambang are spiritual entity and guardian. They are take many form, shape and origin based on each of their surrounding environment. That means they can evolve like a real creature while others has evolved into a more spiritual form such as this particular Mambang class-1, Hantu Penanggal. Known to be from a beautiful female that were cursed, it is actually a type of Mambang that has evolved in a perfect camouflage mechanism. Paguma amoyensis, as its scientific name is called, has its real torso located underneath the skull-like shell. It developed the shape of the skull to protect itself from other Mambang. It moves using its multiple tentacle abdomens and spent most of its life hanging by a single tree until it need to migrate to mate. Inktober Day 21: Treasure Malaysia indeed has treasure, and its located in Bagan Datoh, Perak. Unlike a typical treasure we would expect, this type of treasure its on a living Mambang class-2. Only known by its scientific name Hemigalus adeliae, the treasure was left by the Japanese soldiers before they were shuffling oit of the country after Japan surrendered after the end of World War 2. The treasure reportly to be RM2 Mil in value located on the Mambang's natural trap door as its head. It opens up to consume any creature careless enough to disturb its treasure on its head including human. Inktober Day 20: Tread Sotong Gua is a native Mambang class-3 that lives in the complex tunnels within Gua Niah in Sarawak. Scientifically known as Mephitis melampus as they hunt using their sensitive sensors throughout their tentacles abdomens. They are able to grab any careless creatures with their tentacles around the cave mouth. They have evolved to an extend that their remaining hidden body has grown to adapt with the space in the complex cave. They are not picky eaters as they can consume literally any type of organism. Inktober Day 19: Sling Dermaga Tiga as its known locally or Trinacria cyclotis as its scientifically given. The scientific name are taken from the Roman word which means the "star with three points". 300ft of height, this Mambang class-3 has a unique three legs that features a pointy end on each of them. It uses its swinging hanging abdomen as a weight pendulum to balance its upper body whenever they move. Inktober Day 17: Ornaments Cichlidae dorsaum or better known as Udang Seri Halus is a unique class-2 of Mambang that uses metal to decorate themselves apart from serving as a protection for their fragile body. They have a bone claw for their tail that able to crush any type of metal and crumple them to form decorative shell that they can carry around.
