Love the idea that The Man in the Wall in Warframe universe is considering come kind of eldritch horror, the thing that no one even believes in, but in reality it's just a manifestation of some random guy's autism and homosexuality. And the reason why he acts like this is simply because he doesn't understand how to talk to people. He saw the way Albrecht touches Loid...so this is what people do when they like someone....well, here's million hands. He saw people are smiling at each other. Well, Wally is doing his best with it too (kind of creepy but look. He's trying). He even said that we need a friend like him (this one came out scary too) 😔

i dont have much experience with drawing mechs at all, but Mirage asked me to draw this for their monthly supporter reward, and i think it turned out good!

Idk if somebody already drew Cephalons like that. After so much time it definetly could be tho I wasn't in the fandom and didn't post anything what I was drawing at 2016-17. Now when I'm doing it again after two big breaks

I got a strange feeling from their dialogues in The New Strange. Was redrawing them several times and was more unhappy with what I did before than now with the symmetry attempt. I'm just not good in designing such things. Tried to base their designs on the room for Simaris, and on the Orbiter ship for Ordis with it's additional parts as mech I wasn't in Warframe for 5 years and lost access to my old account. It's a pity cuz I miss a little my Frost and Limbo that you could create without Duviri. And when did they add open world maps, wow. AND YOU CAN FISH NOW. Still I can refresh my memory with quests I remembered that I needed to do Frost mission for 18 times to get his spine or what it was. But now it's a bit pointless with obtaining his full blueprint only at Duviri (I don't consider platinum options) as for some other warframes. Though I don't remember where his blueprint was obtained in the old times. And it would be so much easier for me if the trade system in such games was like in WoW and other MMO, where ppl just leave their things with a price or vice versa and no more interactions are needed ehhh

Warframe Design Notes

Hei, so today I want to start my mini series on Warframe designs in which I will try to analyse the visual design of all Warframes and find out what they potentially are based on. Today I want to start with an easy one, Ash. Ash is the classical ninja. Like many early Warframes, his design is heavily influenced by japanese design elements. The stereotypical ninja outfit we know out of popular culture is based on the kuroko from kabuki theater, stage hands dressed in all black. The tabi/toe shoes and the legwraps are directly taken from these outfits, although kuroko would have worn a different type of head dress. The arms are covered by chitin plates that are made to resemble sode armor plates-they even include the ropes holding the plates together. Why chitin plates? Because Ash is also based on insects, which is easily proven if we take a look at the names of his variant helmets (Scorpion, Locust). He even has mandible like parts on his helmets-it also explains its color theme; historical ninja's probably weren't dressed in black anyways and the brown and beige hues give him a beetle like look. Beetles apparently (please correct me here!) are symbols of rebirth and transformation in Buddhism, which matches the themes of the game. And they are small, barely noticable-perfect for a character that is supposed to be stealthy.

Please correct me on any mistakes I have made, I only have an old french book on fashion and the internet at hand to help me with these analysis and I do not want to be culturally insensitive.

TennoCon 2024 Charm #1: Bombastine!

Any excuse to draw Bombastine is a much welcomed one. I forgot how nice it was to draw something because I wanted to and also happens to be a character I like, rather than stressing over drawing what's newest and popular (sorry, Loid, Arthur, and Aoi) out of... something (ironically envy of those who can pump stuff out and stay current and thus get that sweet engagement numbers and love lmaooooo).

5 lucky people will be getting one of these at the show this July!

No plans to re-run these, gotta see how they turn out first.
