Displacing women from titles of achievements they could have held is one thing, but lying about sex and blurring the reality that there IS a shocking difference in the rates men do these things compared to women leads us farther away from being able to name the problem of MALE violence. Don't brush it under the "people do these things" rug when we can see which sex does it far more.

Shrug. This has probably been said before and better but I think in a lot of ways women are still going through witch trials. (e.g. if she lives shes evil if she dies shes innocent) If a woman dies she was a real abuse victim, if she lived she lied about it. If a woman kills herself she was in real pain, if she gets over it it was just a cry for attention.
