Since I've done a little bit of a rework on Maroon's backstory and is now about him being a living weapon and being raised as such (basically, imagine King Bradly from FMA's backstory, except he was only trained to be a soldier and not the leader of a country without a chance of ever being human in any way), I've made it so that he's never had a reason to smile in his life, so him doing so would just look unnatural to the point where it could potentially put the fear of God in you by just seeing it lmao
I felt that I should emphasize the intimidation with a little bit of horror aspect of him.

Some sketches I did today.
I also added a bit of a lore piece to Maroon, so here it is.
In his past, during a battle before the nuclear war that wiped out humanity, a dying soldier who was an ally had given Maroon his cross necklace before passing. Maroon hadn't been taught any religion or anything much of the outside world other than war and combat since his sole purpose from birth was to be a modified lethal weapon, nothing more or less. Yet, despite Maroon not understanding anything much behind this cross, he recognized this was something special to that soldier, so it only felt right to honor his comrade's death by carrying it with him, wherever he went. The scientists n' all that decided to let him keep it. Even inside of the cryochamber, he would soon be placed inside of.
How's that for some lore? A part of Maroon's lore is also inspired by Kiora's No.6 lore lmao
