ITS YUMA MONTH?! CATCH ME DRAWING FOR ALL 31 DAYS
Oh look, Today is Day 1 of Yuma month, today's prompt was partners!
Ramble down below
This was so fun to draw, had difficulty at first but fixed it!! Ngl even though I was very neutral about Shinigami at first (I loved her and hated her so much it canceled out) , I loved their dynamic all throughout the game, from Shinigami being her annoying little self to her being a supportive partner to Yuma and vice-versa always hits me in my weak spot. (Shinigami's pose is inspired by a thing me and my siblings used to do by giving each other bunny ears in pictures)
That's all I have to say about the drawing, but I am so happy to be participating in Yuma Month!! (Sadly I won't do every day but I'll try to do my best on the ones I do!!)

📝 KURUMI REWRITE PLOTHOLE COVERS (feel free to discuss them or add more to them in the comments, and this was written during my dance rehearsals so they may not make sense)
Because of Kurumi’s high intelligence of being able to suspect others due to being knowledgeable about Kurane, Waruna, Yoshiko, and Karen, her reasoning is impressive. Not to mention how Kurumi is Kanai Ward’s informant. Already being an informant would be helpful for the only detective agency in the city.
- Being an informant and also in high school, I can age her up to be a senior (if she wasn’t already), being able to have an internship working under Yakou. This can block the plot hole of why Kurumi often doesn’t appear in classes after chapter 2. Being a senior also allows her to have open periods, to which she can use them to get out of school early. If she also works under Yakou as a “trainee”, she can have more of a deeper connection with the agency as a whole.
- If Kurumi is an intern as well, she usually makes appearances every now and then. Also being focused on school because of exams during the entirety of chapter one can be an excuse as to why she didn’t appear. She also could’ve been able to know how the master detectives are going to Kanai Ward and she would’ve been too shy to face them. Yuma can be the first one she can actually trust and not feel awkward around, since he is a trainee to her.
- This can be beneficial for Yuma, as he could see more about the culture and the city in general thanks to Kurumi. He can also learn from her and train with her.
- Instead of just being in theater club, I feel her being in relations with Theater tech would fit more. Maybe Aiko convinced her to at least be in a similar class to her so she wouldn’t be alone.
(If you want to draw her, Redesigned Kurumi has blonde highlights, I forgot to add them on the full body 😭)

Working so many villain aus be like :)
I always like the idea of making characters interact with their artists so I decided to take a break and make this somewhat comedic scenario with a couple of the designs I made (my Remnant!Makoto’s outfit based on the design from @thiscatdraws MLP despaired Makoto design!!) and showcasing their new personalities alongside @spittyfishy Remnant!Kaede and Shuichi :00
Since I’ve got Makoto and Serena’s designs all done I’ll probably post them at some point once I got a couple more characters done from their respective series (and Deku as well because I’m still workshopping his lol

RAINCODE Fan Meeting Report ①
Around the first reading play of the daytime program.
This is part 1 of a series of a highlight of the fan meeting event that took place in Tokyo on March 17, 2024. There were so many interesting parts that I am not sure how many parts I will finish, but I think I will post at least two more.
⚠️This is a long post! Please read this only if you have the time.
Before the show begins:
When the show started, Yuma's voice called out to the audience, but I thought it was just a recorded voice playing, so I listened quietly. Then he hesitantly shouted "H-Hello!" again, and I finally realized that I had to answer him.
(Sorry I didn't notice sooner, Yuma!)
I answered out loud, but there were quite a few people clapping back. (JP fans are a little too shy XD)
Then, after the lights went dark, Katsumi Fukuhara, the VA of Yuma, and Sayumi Suzushiro, the VA of Shinigami, appeared on the stage.
A reenactment of the scene where Yuma first meets Shinigami on the Amaterasu Express began. The first part must have been almost exactly the same as the dialog in the game: Shinigami waking up Yuma, Yuma learning that he is an amnesiac, Shinigami identifying himself, and so on.
There was a scene in which Shinigami got upset with Yuma because he did not call her name properly. (I don't know how it is translated in the English version of RAIN CODE, but Shinigami gets upset when Yuma doesn't call her “Shinigami-chan”.)
Yuma tried to cheer up Shinigami's mood, but it doesn't work out. Then Shinigami suggested:
Here, the audience side brightens up and Shinigami said, "See how many there are!".
Yuma noticed the audience, then said “Oh, hi!” and waved to the audience, a little hesitantly.
(Actually the people on the stage are the VAs, but for clarity I have replaced them with characters.)
Many in the audience waved back, but there were a few who clapped back at this scene as well. (JP fans tend to clap anyway. XD)
Yuma then asked the audience for help. (Sorry, the art above and the art below are not properly connected, because my memory is pretty fuzzy on what happened between them!)
I don't remember exactly why Shinigami's line in that part got that way, but I'm pretty sure she was telling the audience, "I haunt you guys perfectly! (バッチリみんなに憑いてるよ！)".
(Her lines are hard to translate! 😅 You might think it's a weird translation, but it's a weird line originally, so I hope you can guess what it is).
After that, there was a little exchange, and then Yuma exclaimed: "We're in the washroom of car number 1…, no, we're in Hikousen Theater!!!" (Hikousen Theater is the actual venue where the event took place).
The performance ended when Yuma realized that he had actually fainted in the waiting room of the Hikousen Theater and called for the MC.
(I'm not sure why the location was changed when it said the Amaterasu Express on the screen, but I guess it was done to make it easier for the audience to understand that the exchange was the same as the one in the Amaterasu Express in the game).
Then the MC appeared and the VAs introduced themselves. When it was Sayumi Suzushiro’s turn, she asked the audience to say “kawaii (cute)” while performing Shinigami's voice. And again, the audience calls out as they did earlier:
Both Katsumi Fukuhara and Sayumi Suzushiro performed perfectly, and I was very impressed that they spoke exactly the same as the characters in the game!
I don't know how much they practiced, but it was really nice to see their performance in real time!

A silly little idea I came up with (or actually I’ve had it for a while) when I was talking to Kazin, and as always, she drew it out for me… xD
The idea is that if Yuma goes into (or is forced) into a Mystery Labyrinth while he’s sick; in the Labyrinth, the illness temporarily disappears since they are in an alternative dimension. So while healthy, he can solve the mystery with no obstacles.
However…when he leaves the Mystery Labyrinth? His condition worsens. Depending on how long he was in there, or how much energy he used, it’s all transferred to his body outside, and…yeah he practically collapses.
Shinigami knows exactly what she did.
What a little jerk x’D
