something i love about supernatural is that you can't immediately tell what season an image is from based on dean but you CAN tell based on what hairstyle iteration sam is on
vessels way of writing devotion. his way of communicating how isolated and alone he is in his place of worship. how he is nothing without sleep but how sleep is nothing without him. how he holds so much power that it's killing him. how scorned and vengeful he is and how absolutely terrified he is but he understands all efforts of revenge are fruitless. how he is being loved by a God and how it hurts. sleep token is such a beautiful band but especially with how they've crafted such a beautiful delicate metaphor with comparing a codepdent partnership to worshipping a God. it's so fucking brilliant and harrowing
Sometimes i think about the person who made the "You are so loved" sign. They wanted to let the band know what they mean to us all. And the way they phrased it, not the simple 'We love you', but 'You are so loved'. It's not much at a first glance, but adds so much flavour, you know.
And then i think how Vessel uno reversed it at the audience. Or how he (probably) made an entire fucking show to play the monologue about the "You saved me" message he got too. Saying he hasn't suffered as much as we did. Always deflecting.
So sometimes I'm. Thinking how it's such a fitting thing to do for someone who decided to call himself a vessel. Who states that the people behind the music are not important. And i get emotional in a whole different way.
something i really enjoy in horror movies is when the victim(s) start to hunt the killer in return in order to kill them first, both because it's an interesting parallel that (if done well) asks the audience to consider the question of when violence and killing are a justifiable means to an end in order to survive and at what point it crosses the line from acceptable to abhorrent and condemns the perpetrator, and also because it's a little bit funny. like i can do that too bitch you're not special.
