do you ever get so annoyed at everything that you start to get pissed off at even little things like a spoon clinking against a bowl or sounds of people talking  

Like last time – I didn‘t think I’d still have to write this but after reading some comments I can’t keep still.

Last time I was defending Ant. I haven’t changed my opinion about what I said some months ago. This time I have to defend Lisa though.

I’ve seen so many cruel comments towards her in the last few months. Reading them makes me sick.

At the beginning – this March and April – I was sorry for her. Sorry it all ended so quickly – at least from our – the fans – point of view. [It probably wasn’t as quick as it seemed for us.] I bet she was devastated, down, angry. I understood. I even wrote some encouraging words to her on Twitter.

And I meant it. I really meant it.

Some time later I noticed how she reacted by writing, answering and liking posts. I didn’t agree with it. I rejected - - them. Many of you, who also follow me on Twitter, maybe noticed that. I hated how she liked tweets of people insulting Ant, how she wrote tweets about her feelings (not that she did it), how she answered tweets of her supporters. It made my positivity towards her and the pity I felt for her vanish.

She always seemed like a lovely lady to me until that point. Still I didn’t insult her. I was angry. I wrote on Twitter what I think about the whole situation, yes. 

But I always thought: Insulting her doesn’t help. It doesn’t help anyone. It makes you no better than the people supporting Lisa and insulting Ant in return. That’s what I also told some people of the Ant and Dec fandom who started insulting her without thinking.

 On Twitter everything seemed to calm down kind of quickly. People came to their senses, calmed down.

Of course, there are still people complaining about it but the people I follow in general calmed down. Many probably because I’m a Celeb will start soon and everyone gets excited – although that raises other thoughts and worries.

I thought people in general not stopped but spread less hate in the last weeks and months. But I noticed some posts on Facebook.

 I joined an Ant McPartlin fan group – which probably came up because of all the events in the past year. I thought it was a nice group of people showing their love and support towards Ant. At least that is how it started. Many made posts which said things like “I love you, Ant.” And “Get well!”.

But in the last days and weeks more and more people started posting hate – towards Lisa!

Like I said before: I don’t agree with Lisa’s actions – I understand her anger but I don’t accept her actions. Still there is no need to insult her.

People wrote comments which said things like “She looked a right nasty piece of work, Ant is we’ll rid of her.” and “Lisa is a gold-digging scumbag. “.

Are comments like these really necessary?

It’s the same situation as in March just directed at another person. In March people were insulting Lisa’s supporters who hate Ant. Now people are insulting Lisa for things that happened half a year ago. It’s just not right. No matter how much you hate someone – shouldn’t you just treat that person with respect? Actually, that shouldn’t be a question. Of course, everyone deserves to be treated with some kind of respect – no matter what. I’m already waiting for the hate I’ll get because of this post and for people reminding me that I probably also insulted people in my lifetime. Yes, I probably did. Everyone was angry and didn’t think about what the said once. I’m not an exception. But especially on the Internet hate can spread so fast and can cause a bigger argument and people feeling bad about themselves because of what others – who don’t know them personally (!) – said. Please, think about it before you insult people on the Internet and in real life. I know, Lisa is grown up, Ant is grown up, they are both in public view. They probably received hate in the past. They may can handle it. But there are many people who can’t. Even if you’re just hating on people who post cruel comments towards Ant: Stop it! You don’t help anybody with that and it doesn’t solve a problem. It just causes new problems which will separate everyone more because of a word someone said without thinking. A word directed at only one person can cause something big. Love, don’t hate.

Why I still love Ant

I didn’t think I’d still have to write this after 2 months have passed. I thought finally people could settle down and stop hating on Ant for his faults. I really wanted to ignore all the hate but I just couldn’t keep this one in. YES, Ant was wrong in driving drunk. YES, Ant should feel guilty and be punished (He pleaded guilty and was punished for his faults). And YES, people shouldn’t approve on drink driving. What people don’t seem to understand is:

1.       None of us fans approve Ant’s drink driving. We never said that and we never will. Of course we don’t like that he did it. We were also very shocked when we heard the news. We don’t approve it. We didn’t want this to happen. I don’t feel sorry for drunk drivers. I only feel sorry for Ant that he was going through such a hard time and is now given an even harder time.

2.       Of course we care about the people who were involved in the accident – and I mean every person. Yes, we do care about the child. Fortunately nobody was hurt (!). Having been in a car accident myself I know how horrible it is. Especially during and right after the crash but the people involved even wished Ant the best. If they can forgive him we should, too. The little girl was brought in the hospital for check-up. A check-up is common after such a crash. I don’t know the complete circumstances but I bet the child was crying / screaming. That’s what a 3-year old would do. She was shocked. I bet everyone was.

3.       Ant pleaded guilty in court. He is sorry for what he has done. Of course he didn’t want that to happen. He is a caring man. He always has been. Ant has been through so much trouble the past two years – probably so much we can’t even imagine how bad it was. He deserves a break! And I don’t only mean from TV but from people who hate him for driving drunk.

4.       Ant is getting the treatment he needs now. He looks so much better than he did some months ago. Yes, it will take time until he is completely better. I really wish he will get better and healthy again. Nobody deserves to be in that misery. I wouldn’t wish anyone to be in his situation now – not even people I hate (although there are no people I hate from the bottom of my heart). No matter how angry I might be at people I wouldn’t want anyone to hate on him / her like some of the haters currently do – like telling him names I don’t want to repeat here; they are more than hurtful. And Ant definitely doesn’t deserve it.

Yes, I do support Anthony. But I don’t support him because of his faults. I support him because of all the good things he did in the last 30 years of working together with Declan. He helped people. He put so much money in charity. He helped many of my friends in this fandom to feel better and happy again when they were turned down by people they love. Ant (and Dec – of course) did so much for people. When Ant spoke out about his problems so many of my fandom-friends found the courage to speak out and get help themselves. I mean, it is sad something like this had to happen to give Ant a big wake-up but I believe he now realized that he wasn’t fine – but he is going to be. People hating on him just make it worse. It shouldn’t be any of our businesses. Yes, he made a mistake. If it was anyone none-famous nobody would care. People would read about it but drop it straight afterwards. I understand that Ant is a role-model to many people and that he probably should act as one but everyone makes mistakes. I really wish him the very best and send him my love. I really hope he will come back better and stronger than he ever was. Seeing the pictures of him in the last two weeks was great. What will Dec be without Ant?

I dont think they'll do it this year. Ant's tv Commitments were cannceled for the whole year, I think, and Dec has his baby.

Ant needs to get better first and Dec needs to bond with his child.

I really love them but it would be better if they didn't do it this year.

Now starts the mass hysteria in the gutter press as they start predicting the most probable co-hosts for I’m a Celeb…Do they really think Dec is going to replace Ant?! Surely they must see a pattern here: no co-host for SNT or BGT. I could definitely see IAC working with just Dec at the helm, even though it would be really strange and different. He’s good enough on his own - I think he’s more than proved that the last 2 weeks! I can’t imagine he’d have much fun on his own, especially as the schedule is so punishing and it’s 3 weeks straight of live shows, but if he’s truly carrying on solo to take all pressure off of Ant to come back, he’ll do it. He’s just that amazing of a friend. ❤
