sigh. exam finished a while ago. i honestly dont think i did great cause i lost a good amount of time just tryna read and understand the choices of answers. i really dislike that they give us only a minute to read through a question, analyze AND answer. and they expect people to pass 80% of it. 😅 as if their multiple answers are not designed to be tricky. what a joke. we're not AI, hello?
if i passed that exam then god must have helped me. i'm pretty sure i left 10 or more items blank out 170 questions. that isnt to say that i am 100% sure i got the rest right. i could still be wrong.
the questions arent all that difficult though. i think even a highschooler can manage. the real enemy is time. 🤣 idk im pissed fr

How many episodes are we in? Episode 6? Okay, not bad! I love that. Didn't take until the end of the season to get to either of them confessing. That's great.
Okay. When you're asked this question after confessing to someone, saying "I don't know" or "no reason" are the worst answers ever. That's bullshit. That means you just wanna pair up for the sake of it, or even worse than that, you hadn't internalized or thought about your relationship as much.
Knowing the reason why you like or love a person is very important. You have to have a reason. It has to have meaning why you chose them out of everybody else. Even saying, "I think you're pretty" is a better response than nothing or not knowing. The other person needs to understand what made you like them to understand you and what your intentions are. Your answer will define how committed you are, what type of relationship you're seeking for, and reflect what kind of person you are. The answer to this question is not something you can half-ass.
Itsuomi's answer is that Yuki's presence in his life changed how he will perceive the next travels he'll do. That whenever he travels, he's probably gonna think to himself that she wants her with him. That speaks volumes for him since travelling is like top on his priority list. But with Yuki now, he wants to be part of all that.
Basically, he wants her to be with him. All of her. Them. Together.
I was worried that the series might pull a dick move of Itsuomi essentially only wanting to learn sign language for fun and cultural learning. But I'm glad that he's always approached it for Yuki.

I completely forgot about the fact that a guy invited a girl over his place, and he is currently living alone. I- I know Itsuomi means well, but that's usually a sign of hookup so... if I were Yuki, I would've thought twice about going alone.
He told her that spending time with her can make people sleepy, meaning they feel very comfortable around her. But it's probably just him and a few people. Classic flirt tactic.
Can't say I'm a fan of that. It's just... I'm more of show versus tell type of person.
Ack, in that situation I would have frozen. Solid as rock.

So this music by Sawano Hiroyuki came out last year, and I thought it's from an anime so I didn't watch it until I'd eventually see the anime because I wanted to fully experience it first there. But the year passed by and I didn't encounter this song at all, nor do I recall there being an anime scored by Sawano Hiroyuki.
So this week I checked it out. And WTF.
Why does this video have 0 comments??
Music is a banger, no doubt about that. I just don't understand why nobody's talking about it, because I think the story in the music video is interesting.
It's about this short-haired girl closely observing this pretty girl who oddly looks very similar to the pretty and quiet boy in her class.
She notices they both have a mole underlip, and generally have similar face and vibe about them. So she went to secretly investigate this on her own. Essentially, she stalked her. I know, not a very comfortable thing to see. But maybe there's more to just her pure curiosity.
Later, the video reveals the character transition from a boy to a young lady.
And throughout the video, you can see the short-haired girl feeling drawn and captivated to her. She can't stop thinking about this pretty lady, and she even dreamed about her. I believe she is infatuated.
So whenever she gets a chance to see her, she would look at her from afar, just admiring her from a distance. But then this train accident happens. It seemed that there was a war or something. The pretty young lady actually turns out to be a secret agent of sorts. She hopped on that train fully knowing something would happen. And she was supposedly going there to take arms and fight.
The city had been engulfed in flames. The short-haired girl finds the pretty lady standing at the center of chaos, and she would run towards her with the intention of protecting her.
And this is where it gets interesting for me:
The lady sees her running towards her, completely unaware that she can handle herself just fine. So she rushes to the girl to protect HER from this attack from above.
My heart tingled there. OHHH!
The girl later expresses her concerns and worry for this lady, at least that's what I think she's told her, and probably asked her to run to a safe location.
But the lady reassures her and calms her down by:
A KISS ON THE FOREHEADDDDDDD??!?!?!?!?
AHHHH!!!!!!
You guys, this is how I reacted:

And then the MV ends with pretty lady joining an army.
I BADLY, BADLY WANTED THIS TO BE AN ANIME.
But it's just a short film collaboration between Araki Tetsurou, Sawano Hiroyuki and Hata Motohiro as a part of the TOHO animation: Music Films project, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of TOHO Animation.
BUT COME ON! I WANT ME SOME YURI SCIFI/MILITARY ANIME! Potentially, maybe even a mecha genre. Or like something like VIVINOS' Alien Stage. This pair is so cute! Ugh, I want this! HOLY SHIT I WANT THIS. If not a series, at least a full length movie.
Somebody please write this kind of yuri story! IM TIRED OF MAGICAL GIRL OR ORDINARY SCHOOL YURIS.

I remember this guy is in the opening so he is relevant in the character dynamics, right? I'm suspecting that he probably has feelings for this gal.
The thing is, I dislike it when girls ask their guy friends to console them and never notice that the guy friends likes them and that's why they're supporting them, or they do notice and abuse it - the last one's the worst. And for the guy friend, I also dislike that they just shelve their feelings like this and let the girl call him whenever she's down and shit. I just don't think it's healthy for either of them. This kind of attachment isn't very sound.
How sad. No, really. I feel bad for him. But yeah, he should've made a proper move if he wanted to be close to her. The way he's been doing, that's just not gonna work.
He managed to say it without looking like a mad dog.

YUBISAKI TO RENREN Episode 3
Okay, onwards I will try to catch up to this and Dungeon Meshi cause there're quite a lot of episodes out already. You may notice I would be uploading more than one episode reaction per week for these series in particular. I want to be at least caught up in reacting to these two because they are of this season's releases.
I noticed this is already rated 8.9 in MAL. That's quite high, guys. Well, let's see if the ratings live up to my standards. As I've said before, romance genres are not my favorite. This is usually because they're either unrealistic or at the very least the characters feel like they have no substance. Romcom genres are different because they have the other goal of making the audience laugh. But romance... there should be intense emotions involved, plus it is based on real life occurence. Judging from the first 2 episodes alone, I am giving this series like a 7/10. For now that is the benchmark rating.
I want to see a bit of drama or conflict developing between these characters because that's how things realistically happen in real life and I think this anime is trying to gauge to that realistic view of romance, hopefully. And then, I can rate it higher depending on how good the conflict is written and delivered in animation. So yeah, I'll see.
I listened to the opening again, and I truly, truly hope this anime will tug my heartstrings cause the opening surely has. The song is just fcking beautiful. I feel like I want to cry listening to it.

Mm. I strongly resonate with his line of thought here. I know several friends who have gone to live or work abroad either because they want to live in a different culture, or they believe they will like living there. Personally, I think there are plenty of great things nearby, that you don't need to go so far to feel complete or to enjoy. Perhaps it's because they haven't found it in their motherland, that they seek for it in other lands and hope to live their best. But if they never tried to see everything their original home has to offer, it makes me think how can they truly appreciate other cultures and countries?
I ain't talking about people who have nowhere else to go though.

I can't wait for them to show the reason why she and Yuki's male friend fell for the main characters. I wanna know. Here goes me getting into the next episode then. Maybe I'm a little glad that I stayed behind in watching these episodes so I can binge more. Hmhm.
