If the httyd books had modern slang, Snotlout would unironically call himself an Alpha male and call Hiccup a Beta. Hiccup would be very confused as to why Snotlout suddenly knows Greek and then would go off on a tangent about math and science because those are the only contexts he knows those words in.
This may be a dumb question, but did Hiccup ever become chief of the Hairy Hooligans ? Because that was the main plot of basically the first half of the series.
If I remember correctly, he was never actually chief ? Obviously he became King of The Wilderwest at the end of book 12, but is it ever established what happens after Stoick inevitably died ?
Did the chiefdom go to Hiccup, because it couldn’t go to Snotlout anymore (RIP) so was it Baggybum ? Or did Hiccup just rule as chief of Berk AND King of The Wilderwest ?

so after all the antics that the Rest Stoppers go through, the Bookverse manages to attach a message to the Spaceripper (working on some classifications for it) and explain to the movieverse what is going on.
After that, well… two mysterious hooded figures with strange glowing appendages and oddly familiar voices appear on both Movie!Berk and Tommorow respectively, selling some very peculiar maps.
They’re not very useful without an Air-Stick to open the Which Ways, but they do show where the Spacerippers will be moving next… maybe they’ll even be able to follow them through if they time it right.
The maps show the Which Ways mysteriously converging on Dragon Island on one end, and Death’s Head Headland on the other. After all,“In my beginning is my end”.
But who are those mysterious figures? Bounty hunters? Pirates who stole the maps? Or perhaps… they are the creators of the maps?
this is in Book 2, where Alvin attempts to kill Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the III using the Stormblade, earlier referring to him as “Grimbeard’s precious heir”. If Alvin knows the story of Hiccup the second (which seems likely knowing that his mother knew of it), then this takes on a whole new meaning.
In fact, I’m pretty sure that this is the first time the phrase is used. The thing Alvin said to Hiccup as he attempted to kill him would later become a recurring phrase used by an older Hiccup while narrating his own story, using it in moments where Alvin had failed to achieve his goals. When he realized that he had lost the Dragon Jewel.
