Behind the Scenes of the Spider-Verse from Adobe Create: Creative Voices on Vimeo.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t a movie about a comic book; it is a comic book. It may have required thousands of lines of codes and a completely new animation workflow, but its flat colors, cross-hatching, and mis-registered layers give the film the same tactile quality as the 1962 paper comic in which Spider-Man debuted. In this video, you'll go deep into the Spider-Verse and meet the team that made it happen. To read more, go to create.adobe.com/2018/10/15/behind_the_scenes_of.html

BAG MAN from TWIN. on Vimeo.
bagmanshortfilm.com
BAG MAN is the understated story of a 12 year old African American boy, who takes us on an introspective journey out of the city and into the remote countryside of upstate New York. With a mysterious duffle bag in hand, its contents unknown to us, we journey from the urban hustle of Harlem, into the winter-ravaged woodlands a world away. On the road, we slowly discover his real intentions, and the startling significance of what is hidden inside a young boy’s bag.
Directors JONATHAN & JOSH BAKER thrive on combining hauntingly beautiful imagery with quiet layered emotional experiences. The film juxtaposes high-concept visuals with the most regular of everyday characters and environments, creating an extremely relatable story that engages on multiple levels. Collaboration with the highest quality creative talent is essential with all projects they take on, and BAG MAN is no different – from cinematographer NICOLAS KARAKATSANIS (Academy Award Nominated ‘Bullhead’, ‘The Drop’), to LEGACY EFFECTS (‘Iron Man’, ‘Pacific Rim’, ‘Avatar’), to THE MILL (World-leading, international VFX studio), to colorist TOM POOLE (‘Drive’, ’12 Years A Slave’, ‘Foxcatcher’), to original music by Brooklyn-based threesome BIRD COURAGE.

Wanderers - a short film by Erik Wernquist from Erik Wernquist on Vimeo.
For more information and stills gallery, please turn to: erikwernquist.com/wanderers For youtube version, please turn here: youtube.com/watch?v=YH3c1QZzRK4 ----- UPDATE: For anyone interested I have made a clip with a few discarded scenes from this film, which can be seen here: vimeo.com/132183031 ----- Wanderers is a vision of humanity's expansion into the Solar System, based on scientific ideas and concepts of what our future in space might look like, if it ever happens. The locations depicted in the film are digital recreations of actual places in the Solar System, built from real photos and map data where available. Without any apparent story, other than what you may fill in by yourself, the idea of the film is primarily to show a glimpse of the fantastic and beautiful nature that surrounds us on our neighboring worlds - and above all, how it might appear to us if we were there.
As some may notice I have borrowed ideas and concepts from science fiction authors such as Kim Stanley Robinson and Arthur C. Clarke, just to name a few. And visually, I of course owe many tips of my hat to painter Chesley Bonestell - the legendary master of space art.
More directly, with kind permission from Ann Druyan I have also borrowed the voice of astronomer and author Carl Sagan to narrate the film. The audio I used are excerpts from his own reading of his book 'Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space' (1994, Random House, penguinrandomhouse.com/books/159735/pale-blue-dot-by-carl-sagan/) - needless to say, a huge inspiration for this film. ----- CREDITS: VISUALS BY - Erik Wernquist - [email protected] MUSIC BY - Cristian Sandquist - [email protected] WRITTEN AND NARRATED BY - Carl Sagan - from his book 'Pale Blue Dot' penguinrandomhouse.com/books/159735/pale-blue-dot-by-carl-sagan/, courtesy of Ann Druyan, copyright by Democritus Properties, LLC, with all rights reserved COLOR GRADE BY - Caj Müller/Beckholmen Film - [email protected] LIVE ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY BY - Mikael Hall/Vidiotism - [email protected] LIVE ACTION PERFORMANCE BY - Anna Nerman, Camilla Hammarström, Hanna Mellin VOCALIST - Nina Fylkegård - [email protected] THANK YOU - Johan Persson, Calle Herdenberg, Micke Lindgren, Satrio J. CASSINI'S GRAND FINALE from Erik Wernquist on Vimeo.
CASSINI’S GRAND FINALE is a short film I had the great honor to produce for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) about the spectacular ending of the Cassini/Huygens mission to Saturn. It is meant as an inspirational and informative piece about what happens in the last months of the mission, and as a celebration of all that this historic spacecraft has achieved.
Here is an article from JPL on the production of the film: saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/news/3016/making-cassinis-grand-finale/
For the official JPL release of the film, please turn here: saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/news/3013/nasas-cassini-mission-prepares-for-grand-finale-at-saturn/ or go directly to the official JPL YouTube video here: youtu.be/xrGAQCq9BMU
For the official NASA release, please turn here: nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-s-cassini-mission-prepares-for-grand-finale-at-saturn
NASA’s Cassini spacecraft (launched in 1997) has been in orbit around Saturn since 2004 exploring the giant planet, its spectacular system of rings and moons. Cassini was also carrying with it the European Huygens Probe which was dispatched after arrival and successfully landed on the moon Titan, becoming the first human made craft to land on a surface in the outer solar system. In 2017 - after more than a decade of bringing home remarkably successful scientific achievements, discoveries and a treasury of gorgeous photos – the spacecraft is running out of fuel to maneuver. In order to protect the moons Enceladus and Titan, and their potentially life-bearing sub surface oceans, from possible contamination in the unlikely event of a future collision, it has been decided to take Cassini permanently out of service. This is done by crashing the spacecraft into the atmosphere of Saturn - but not without doing some amazing science on the way. 22 times, Cassini dives through previously unexplored gap between Saturn and its rings, collecting new data on the mass of the rings (used to help determine their age), measurements of Saturn’s gravity and magnetic fields (used to help understanding its internal structure) and sending home stunning views of Saturn’s clouds and the rings – seen from a closer range than ever before. Even up until the very end, Cassini will bring home data, as it tastes the atmosphere of Saturn, just minutes before burning up and becoming part of the planet itself.
It has been an unprecedented honor for me to get to do this film. Being a passionate enthusiast of planetary science, Cassini is the one mission - more than any other – to define my interest in the field, as I’ve had the pleasure to follow its success, from start to end, for a major part of my adult life.
For more information about the Cassini mission and its Grand Finale, please turn here: saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/

Thank you NASA, JPL, ESA and the entire Cassini/Huygens team for making such a wonderful, successful and inspiring mission.
