Yesterday I celebrated my 61st birthday taking something that I love in a direction that, at one point in my life, I felt I had to nurture quietly and protectively. Yesterday I spent most of my time in the "living room" of my live-work artist community, reaching out to the other creatives who live here, and organizing the upcoming group exhibition comprised of NAL resiidents. I witnessed a few moments when a resident-creative began releasing the protective folds they've cradled their creativity in and made the decision to participate in this event. The brow unfurls and is replaced by a smile. That, all the lovely well wishes. and the best birthday/work lunch ever, made my day. Thank you all. Big Hugs and Warm Smiles 💖 (at Northside Artspace Lofts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpLIOVCOrYK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Connecting with my friend Donna Ray @spiritmovesdonna at @fresheyegallery during the opening reception for REVOLUTIONARY - The Feminine Perspective Beyond 50. It's an honor to have my jewelry be a part of this amazing exhibition. Description: first image is of Amy Wilderson, a Black woman wearing an iridescent shirt with a black jacket. She is standing to the right of a white, triangular pedestal that has a black bust display unit with one of her collar necklaces on it. The necklace is a steel bra underwire, forged into a collar with white pill shaped gemstones wrapped in copper wire, and a round pendant made from a computer motherboard and copper pipe. There is a found red gemstone in a slice of copper pipe below the pendant. 2nd image is of two Black women, Amy Wilderson on the left and Donna Ray on the right.
