Sometimes I think about how Kai made his way out of an inferno by accepting that being the green ninja wasn't meant for him but that didn't make him any lesser while Morro died in an inferno because he couldn't let go of the idea of being the green ninja and viewed it as his only source of worth. the funniest thing about ninjago is that it really doesn't have anything to do with the fact they are ninja. from the get go the characters get around with vehicles and mechs and they have elemental powers and live on a flying pirate ship and fight snake people in subways and amusement parks. and hearing this all mushed together sounds insane but if you're a fan it's just normal and just makes sense. and also that's just season ONE

Narratively obsessed with Cole, the one who was introduced as the outcast in his family and not accepted by his dad without hiding who he is, finding his new family in the land of forgotten things and making sure they are all loved and accepted without question. Like this is just truly satisfying narrative completion for him. I love the man he's grown into. His mom would be so proud.

It will never not pain me how close they all keep getting to Jay, without actually seeing him. Nya and Jay both spent an extended period of time in the Realm of Madness yet remained unaware of the other. The ninja were at the Administration, in the same building as him, but they never crossed paths. Arin left the room just moments before Jay entered it. While Cole and Zane were fighting the Administration above ground, Jay was right below them trying to arrest Bonzle. If either of them had gone downstairs, or if Jay had gone up to the surface, they would've encountered each other. Like they're all cosmically pulled together just as they've always been, but never actually meet. Im gonna eat drywall.
