Christmas headcanons for the RE8 Ladies (ft. You!):
Alcina Dimitrescu
Decorates the castle in pretty wreaths, red ribbons, and tinsel. You definitely snuck a mistletoe branch above entryways. All very elegant though, a fine lady such as herself would have nothing less.
Alcina never really thought much of Christmas herself after receiving the Cadou, but knowing her daughters get bored sitting around the castle during the winter, she’ll decorate to brighten their spirits.
Probably creates some type of special holiday wine for the season.
Will roll her eyes if you trick her into standing under the mistletoe, “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to, Draga.” but she’ll lean down and kiss your cheek anyway.
Very thoughtful in her gift giving; whatever you desire will be sitting beautifully wrapped under the tree on Christmas morning.
Donna Beneviento
Probably hasn’t celebrated Christmas since she before lost her parents, often just getting caught up with her dolls down in the workshop.
But when you asked about celebrating, well, Angie overheard and got so excited that Donna couldn’t say no.
You promised Donna a good tree, and found a nice sized one that you dragged by sled back to the manor. Your beloved dollmaker was kind enough to have a warm cup of tea and a cozy fire waiting for you.
Donna actually had a lot of fun decorating the tree with pretty gold tinsel and nice ornaments you’d gotten from the Duke. Though you had to convince Angie to stop lobbing them around for fear of them breaking.
Like everything Donna does, her gift wrapping is meticulous and perfect much like the quality of her dolls. Angie’s on the other hand was less than perfect, but still it was precious.
When Christmas morning finally came, presents were exchanged and hot chocolate was sipped. It was a peaceful holiday and Donna found herself rather excited for next year.
Mother Miranda
Ba-humbug.
To Miranda, Christmas was just another day of the year, and one that distracted her from her work.
She begrudgingly had a small festival for the Villagers to keep their spirits up.
When you asked about celebrating at home, Miranda just grumbled something about it being a waste of time.
Really it was just painful because she didn’t get to celebrate with Eva
But when she saw you deflate out of the corner of her eye, she softened up a bit.
“Don’t look at me like that… [sigh], Do what you will.”
With permission received, you got to decorating. It wasn’t overwhelming; just a few knickknacks, a garland or two, poinsettias scattered about, and a small tree decorated with little ornaments.
You dragged Miranda away from her lab to look at your handiwork, she seemed indifferent for the most part until she caught sight of the tree. There were three ornaments, one with your first initial, one with hers, and finally a candy cane striped “E”
“What’s this?”
You explained to her that in your family, everyone gets a new ornament each year to add to the tree.
“I thought it’d be nice if Eva got to have an ornament of her own once she joins us for Christmas next year, what do you think?”
Miranda swallows thickly and nods, “I think that’s a lovely idea, dear.”
You find yourself wrapped up in a birb hug pretty quickly after that.
Bela Dimitrescu
Enjoys Christmas, it’s the one time of year where maybe winter isn’t so bad.
Often helps her mother pick where decorations go. She’s very particular about placement and aesthetic, so maybe just stay out of her way.
Bela is the Designated Gift Wrapper(TM) of the family, it has to be perfect.
Also tries to keep her nosy sisters from snooping on the presents.
You’ll have to remind her to relax, “Bela, Christmas is supposed to be fun. Stop stressing yourself out.”
“I’ll stop stressing out when that garland is straightened, damn it.”
Once you’re able to pull her away, she does enjoy relaxing with you by the fire and listening to Christmas carols on the phonograph.
Cassandra Dimitrescu
Doesn’t get what the big deal is.
“It’s the season of giving!”
“Well, giving someone a bloody nose puts me in the Christmas spirit.”
“Cassie, no.”
Pretends she doesn’t care, but she does enjoy giving and receiving gifts. (Bloody noses not withstanding)
Her eyes will absolutely light up if you get her that sword she’s been wanting.
She’s not great at gift giving, but she tries really hard. Her sheepishness is adorable, and you can’t help but love whatever she gives you.
“Thank you for my… lucky lycan foot.”
“I harvested it myself!”
Will begrudgingly indulge nearly all of your holiday requests.
Draws the line at matching Christmas Jammies though.
Daniela Dimitrescu
Did someone say Christmas?!
Of all the daughters, she enjoys Christmas the most.
The gifts! The family time! The romanticism of it all! [swoons]
She’s guilty of trying to peek at all the presents, keep a close eye on her.
“Can we watch a Christmas Carol?”
“We don’t have a projector, Dani.”
“Can we borrow Donna’s?”
She may be a cannibalistic vampire, but she’s a sucker for Christmas cookies and candy canes.
You find that her face is stained with red frosting and candy more often than blood around this time of year.
Loves Hallmark Christmas movies, will force you to have a marathon with her.
It’s worth it if it means watching her grin from ear-to-ear while she snuggles into your chest.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
