Omg it has been super busy for me the past few days. I've started a new job that pays more than my old ones so I'm currently trying to get used to that as well as working on everything for finals season. Currently, I'm a bit behind on my English research, but I'm hoping I can be mroe caught up tomrorow so I am much more prepared for Wednesday.
On a brighter note, I've been drinking iced coffee and iced chai lattes lately and it is definitely one of those thigns that I can consider to be something that keeps me on this early just a little longer. I've been experimenting with brands that have the cold foam that come in a whipped-cream style can as a way to top off my drinks (so far they're amazing).
My latest joys:

Iced coffees right when I wake up
Cuddling with my cat at night
Getting to work with dogs at my new job

Teaching the GPS lab this week, and then setting up for next weeks labs! Nothing super wild today, which is typical because I really only instruct on Fridays and I like it that way. One of my students wished me a happy women’s history month, which is so sweet.

Today was fairly normal! That’s good. Nothing particularly interesting, but teaching has become much more comfortable that the temperature in the room has stabilized. I spent a bit of time admiring some of our fossil displays.

another term, another stack of orgo flashcards to make...
despite all the memorization i'm really enjoying organic chemistry. it was my favorite class last term and i'm excited to continue with it - something about drawing out reaction mechanisms is super satisfying to me and i love learning more about how molecules react.

As I enter April (sometimes called Hell Month), I try to treat small moments with greater attention.
This latte was SO good. The enviornment in the coffee shop was perfect for a productive session. I laughed and smiled today. I saw a bumble bee for the first time in months. People were outside with each other. I got a good amount of work done. I got to help someone twice today.
Finals is a hard time, but mindfulness really does help.

| 04 april - back to the routine |
I did the very hard and difficult thing I've been putting off for a while (writing an email) so now I feel like a weight was lifted off my shoulders and I can come back to my normal life. So:
Today's to do:
✅wake up early
✅ healthy breakfast (aka, eat your strawberries before they get bad)
⬜ finish studying Biomechanics theory
⬜ Text B about data acquisition
✅ Talk to my SI professor about the project, since me and my project partner have a couple of questions about it
✅ Meal prep for tomorrow
And that's it, since I also have classes today, and I'm also feeling kinda lazy.
