i'm literally so insane about inter-botw/totk zelink. what if we never left each other's side. what if we were all we all we had of each other's home. what if the lines between us blurred to the point that we were seen as a single unit. what if we lived together. what if our clothes grew dirty and tattered from our service together. what if we rebuilt the world we love with our own hands. what if we shaped the ashes of the kingdom we served in each other's image. what if our service to the people was so great that we were demystified as princess and appointed knight and remystified for our kindness and magnanimity and service to those we swore to protect. what if we promised never to let anything happen to the other. what if we felt safest in each other's company. what if children drew us together.

One of my favorite things about Jane Austen is that she knew the real fear wasn’t running into some terrifying Frenchman or finding your lover’s wife in the attic…it was having to spend time with someone who is slighter cooler than you are, or playing piano in front of a critical audience, or thinking a picnic will be the perfect time for your jokes but then it isn’t

Maybe you think a ship is problematic, but ask yourself this: is it wedged sideways in the suez canal disrupting 12% of global maritime trade?

Another theory-ish thing-
(contains spoilers for Age of Calamity)
Age of Calamity. I loved it so much. The 2 hours worth of cutscenes, the gameplay, Link having more emotions- I loved all of it.
But I do have some questions-
It was advertised as a prequel to BoTW and (spoiler alert) it was not.
Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved it and i don’t really care that it ended up being an alternate timeline.
But I do wonder why Nintendo would do that? Why make an au when they could have just made a prequel? I have some thoughts
Maybe, just maybe, Age of Calamity was an experiment.
BoTW2, as far as I know, is one of the most highly anticipated video games in the Nintendo community. So, Nintendo has a ton of pressure on them to make a game as good as the first one. So what if they made AoC as an experiment to test some stuff out that might be put in BoTW2? One of the biggest complaints I’ve seen about botw is that the boss battle was too easy. But I personally loved the easy boss because it was my first time playing a video game like that. And what did Nintendo put in AoC? The ability to change how hard you want the game to be. What was another complaint that has been a complaint throughout the entire franchises’s history? The fact that after you finish the game you get put back to where you were before finishing it, like nothing had changed. No post-calamity gameplay. And what did Nintendo put after you finished AoC? Post calamity gameplay.
Another thing- We all know Zelda is in BoTW2 from the trailer. And so many people wanted her to be a playable character. sO WHAT DID NINTENDO DO IN AOC? MADE HER A PLAYABLE CHARACTER. They also let us switch between characters mid-battle. Im just thinking, what if they used AoC to try out some ideas they had for BoTW? Like what if we do get to play as Zelda and can switch between her and Link like in AoC? What if we do get to play post-calamity stuff and even post-post calamity stuff at the end of whatever bad happens in BoTW2? What if they wanted to know if the fans would like a ton cutscenes and voice acting in BoTW2 so they put that in AoC to see how we would react?
There is probably a ton more that could tie over, like the possibility of timetravel or something, into BoTW2. What do you think? I personally would really like some of the things in AoC to be in BoTW2, but what about you?

there’s that one microsecond in ch 1 of AoC where he grabs her hand and she is shocked but follows anyway and ofc my brain hyperfocused on it and created an entire scenario of casual hand touches that just become normal
