This is the first development I designed after my formative submission. After receiving the feedback, I decided to go the "simple is more route", while also ensuring I communicate my topic properly. The issue with my "New Beginnings" formative poster was that the overlapping of handwritten text and typed text was not working so well due to the handwritten text being unclear. Therefore, I increased the contrast of the handwritten text and as I placed it over the type and as you can see, it works nicely. Both forms of text are clear and can be read. However, as I observe it, I have only noticed that the "New" in both text forms are the different shades of green, clashing with one another. To indicate the presence of "New Beginnings" I used text to form the shape of a tree while ensuring it doesn't overlap the typed text. I am actually quite fond of this poster as its layout is neat and thoroughly thought out. It isn't too overwhelming and is pleasing to look at. The fact that I arranged the text to be at both ends of the poster is fascinating as there are two "New Beginnings" yet are separated, having handwritten text and typed text as one phrase.
