Gotta get the classics pumped into them before they figure out what MTV actually is. I didn’t get that chance so my kid’s a reality show junkie and so I am because of it. Do you know how many episode of say yes to the dress my poor boyfriend has had to sit through? Poor Maks will never be the same between the two of us.

When your kids love to watch ‘I Love Lucy’ with you, it’s the best thing ever. And they tell you how much you’re like Lucy, it makes you proud. I honestly can’t get enough of this show after all this time, it’s so fantastic. Even Teagan and Wyatt love watching ‘I Love Lucy’ with me.

@AllisonHolker: You know Weslie must be as sick as she says when you walk out from your shower and she's snuggling on the couch with Maks.
@AllisonHolker: He even let her have the remote too. #miraclesarereal

So, the Wildcats were led to yet another victory by their fearless leader Captain Weslie. I couldn’t be more proud of the game that girl and her team played today. Now, she’s off for a driving lesson and dinner with Maks. I’m half tempted to tell her to run a tally every time he gets frustrated and swears.

How is your child handling things lately?
Weslie is still adjusting to be perfectly honest with you. But then again, so is Maks. We’re making progressing every day though. And I treasure that. She just went to him for help with her game lineup and I just about died.

“She’s already backed into three poles. I don’t think my car or my insurance will survive hurricane Weslie.” Allison stated, laughing. “You know me. I’d be worried the entire time that she got kidnapped by some crazy taxi driver and was halfway in the middle of nowhere.” She joked. One of Allison’s few flaws as a parent was the fact she was ridiculously overprotective; a flaw she had developed from being a single parent for many years. Allison knew asking Maks to stay in LA with her and Weslie was a huge sacrifice and she was grateful for that; but on the same hand, they both agreed uprooting Weslie to Brooklyn would only make the teen far more pissed off about the situation than she already was. “Can you even fit on that couch to sleep on? You know.. I gotta know for future purposes. Because you and I both know it’s coming.” She taunted him, wearing a dimpled smirk as she reached up to give him a condescending pat on the top of the head. “I should consider it progress that I can even reach up there, you shrinking in your old age - old man?” Their banter was so effortless that they could practically talk to each other any way they wanted and it would still be funny. Seeing that pout only made Allison giggle. No matter how long they had been dating; the small blonde would still always find it funny watching that stonewall of a man pout. Looking back away because she knew she’d give in anyways; Allison smiled before she spoke. “I think that can be arranged. After all, I am the evil witch who drug you away from there.” She joked. Despite her comment; the small blonde did actually get along rather well with Maks’s mom - even though she knew there was some resentment that he was so far away because of her. “Good thing I did most of the work for you, eh?” She nudged playfully in an attempt to make a crack out of a light situation. “She’s actually pretty low maintenance when she’s not being a pain. We could have a far worse kid on our hands.” She added. “That sounds like an excellent plan babe.” The small blonde praised, rewarding him with a quick peck for his effort. “Mom, when’s dinner?!” The ticked off teen yelled from her room. “Speaking of, want to come play find which box the kitchen stuff is in? I promise, it’s fun. Not really but you get to do it with me so it makes it fun.” She bantered, tugging on his hand to lead him in the direction of the boxes. Despite his size; Maks was actually a pretty easy guy to pull around.

“She’s dangerous. Are you sure we should let her drive or just let her take a taxi or something. Get her used to it for when we visit the Chmerkovskiy’s in Brooklyn.” Maks smiled even though there was a part of him that was homesick, but if Allison wanted to live in LA then that’s where he wanted to be with her. Though he definitely didn’t give up his place in Brooklyn so they could stay there whenever they visited his family. “I’ve rode with much worse drivers, but I’m not going to say anything on that because I’ve sat on that couch and I don’t think it’s comfortable enough for me to sleep on.” he teased with a smile on his face. “Speaking of visiting the family, do you think you guys would want to come with me next weekend? I need to check up on my dance studios since I’ve been spending most of my time at the one’s here in LA.” he suggested, his mouth forming into a pout because he wanted them to go with him. “Not touching on that subject either because like I said, I never plan on sleeping on that couch.” he teased again, the banter always came easily for them and he loved that. Maks nodded his head as he let her words sink in. “You’re right, but I don’t know how to be a dad. I’ll mess it up. I know I will. I do want her around though. I want to be able to prove that I’m not like those other guys.” he smiled slightly, he had always wanted kids for sure. A girl and then a boy, but he had never expected to start a relationship with someone who already had a kid and was practically all grown up. He had just celebrated his forty-sixth birthday so it seemed like babies might never happen. “How about this, we go to the volleyball game and then I give her a driving lesson. Years of teaching people ballroom dance has taught me some incredible patience. I’ll take her out to eat and we’ll see how it goes?” he suggested, his eyebrows raised slightly.

“I don’t know how it’s even possible but she like whacked my head off the dash twice starting and stopping. She’s so bad they could make a television show out of it.” The small girl joked playfully. “I don’t know where on earth she got it from but there’s no way in hell I’m that bad. You’d be dead if I was that bad of a driver.” She added, giggling as she did. “I don’t remember being this much of an asshole as a teenager so I don’t think it’s payback.” Allison stated, laughing tiredly at her own comment. In theory, this match would look totally ridiculous to anyone who was an outsider. But anyone who could took the time to get to know them as a couple knew that they were actually quite perfect for each other in all the weirdest ways. “Glad you think so. But would you like to go upstairs and take another look at the monster I created?” She declared sarcastically but still wearing a smile as she hugged him close. Keeping a close eye on him; Allison was one of the few people who could read Maks like a book and it did help out in times like this. Letting him get all his words out; the small brunette held up a finger to indicate the first thing she wanted to say. Another quirky little habit she had developed from years of being a mom. Standing on the very tips of her toes; the small woman pecked his lips. “First thing, it’s all in baby steps. Earn her trust and she’s actually a pretty nice kid. I’ll bet you any money she’s probably so cagey with you because you kind of give the vibe that you don’t want her around.” She admitted. “She’s been through far too many stepfathers than I ever care to admit.” Allison shuddered as she admitted that and remembered her partner before Maks. Kurt, a latin ballroom instructor who got his kicks beating the hell out of her. She was the reason her nose still wasn’t straight. Pushing that awful memory to back of her mind; Allison continued “She just needs to know that you see us a package deal and that you like her just as much as you like me.” She added, attempting to read his face for clues. Not wanting to turn this conversation into something overtly messy - the small girl came up with an idea. “She has a Volleyball game tomorrow morning. Come with me.” Allison suggested. Weslie had been captain of the Volleyball team for a couple of years now. “Captain Weslie runs a tight ship, you’d be impressed.” Allison teased, giving him a playful nudge as she did so.

“Maybe we can slip the instructor a fifty or maybe a hundred to get it to happen.” Maks teased back with a smile on his face. He shook his head, drawing in a deep breath as he looked at Allison. “Must be learning from someone else because you’re definitely not a bitch.” he smiled, he had never expected to care about or love her as much as he did. He’d started noticing her little habits and cues over time, he knew that their conversation would be taking a much more serious turn even though it had started off so light and teasing. “You’re a great mom.” he reassured her, because it was clear to him that she was a great mom. He drew in a deep breath, nodding his head. He was normally very good with words, but for some reason he was at a loss for words. A small smile appeared on his face when he felt Allison squeeze his hand. “I guess I just don’t think I’d make a great dad, and I don’t want her to feel like I’m replacing her dad. I don’t know how to do it, be a teenager’s father.”

@JensenAckles: @Alisonholker They have it so hard, don't they? God, JJ couldn't find her phone for ten minutes yesterday and practically had a heart attack. Who do they even text at the age of 12? What do they talk about? Cartoons? It's awful. Teenage girls are my worst enemy. You'd think I'd be used to them, because most of my fans are teenage girls, but no...it's the worst.
@Allisonholker: @JensenAckles So very hard. That doesn't get any easier - she's 17 now and I still have no fucking idea what she's texting about. She guards that phone with her life.

@JensenAckles: @Allisonholker It's so real, oh my god. I know exactly what you mean, it's...what's the term? Constant bitch face from the two of them. And the younger one is only almost thirteen.
@Allisonholker: @JensenAckles You'd swear their whole existence is torture with the way they behave. And they're so dramatic too! She couldn't find her tights for dance practice and you'd swear the world was ending. And everything's so last minute too. It'd kill them to plan ahead. Do you know how many times I hear "Where's my.. blank" an hour before a Volleyball game? Like kid.. why didn't you find this yesterday when you had time to hunt for it?
