“I said no Kim,” you share an exasperated look with her partner who happens to be your boyfriend.
“I’m not just going to hand over sensitive information without consent.”
“But, Y/n, we are friends…”
You looked back to your laced fingers in disbelief.
“Don’t extort our friendship and even my relationship just to make things a little easier.”
“Ok look, A woman died.” Kim was obviously frustrated.
“And that’s terrible, but there is nothing I can legally do to help you.”
Kim looked to Antonio, who to your discovery was smirking this entire time.
Kim walked out.
Antonio went to follow her.
“And what’s got you smiling mister?” You snap.
“Even behind a desk my girl is a badass,” he smiles as he closes the office door.
You get back to your work smiling.

Voight couldn’t change your mind. You had confessed to the crime that your brother committed. He wasn’t ready for jail. You could handle it.
There was a knock on the interrogation room door.
“Can we get a second?” You boyfriend asked.
Voight nodded as he left the room.
“Get her out of this,” he whispered to Antonio.
Now you two were alone.
“Here to put the cuffs on me?” You slightly joked. You knew there was now way he would fall for your lie.
“Y/n don’t do this.”
“I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“You want to protect family? I get it, it’s what we were taught to do. Gabby went to Voight to find my shooter, I nearly fell down an elevator shaft trying to save Gabby. I get it. But you can’t just throw your life away for Y/B/N.”
“I did it Antonio.”
“No you didn’t.”
“Oh and you know why?”
“Because you would be much more careful not to leave evidence at the scene. You are a cop Even the jury would see that.”(Gif)
You crossed your arms and stared straight into the mirror where probably the entire team was looking right back at you.
“Hey, forget about them…” Antonio kneeled down next to your chair taking your hand in his.
“Has your brother ever done anything for you? From what I’ve seen it’s a one way relationship. That’s not what’s older brother is for. Look at me and tell me he would even bat an eye as he gets off the hook for this.”
You snap your head back at him but silently gaze towards the floor.
“For the love of God, for me, for the team, and for you, don’t do this.”
“Antonio he’s my brother…” your voice cracks.
“I know, I know…” his arms engulf you into a hug as you agree to step forward and arrest your brother.

You notice he’s holding two coffee cups in his hands, as usual.
"Morning Antonio,” you smile.
“Here, (y/c/o) right?”
Taking a sip, you cant help but sigh and smile.
“Antonio Dawson, you are too good to me.”
“It’s just a reminder that I appreciate you having my back every day,” he mumbles shyly.
As you walk up to the district door you wrap an arm around his torso in a hug.

Dawson can be protective at times, but for the most part, you run the show
He is the level-headed one, always playing by the rules, which is something that doesn’t necessarily come easily for you
You can trust Dawson, which makes the hardships of the job more bearable
Whenever you’re having a hard time, you know that you can always go to Antonio for help, whether he gives you the “I’ve had a lot of life experience” lecture or if he offers to buy you drinks at Molly’s
After everything that happened with his ex-wife, you stuck by his side, letting him know that no matter what, partners have each other’s backs
Outside of work, Antonio is the coolest dad friend of all time. He’s still a bad ass with a gun, but his weapon in social settings is a barrage of bad puns
His kids call you aunty/uncle, which means you’re the good guy when Antonio has to be strict. You also spoil them beyond belief, so that also helps your case
On and off the job, Antonio is the one man you can consistently trust. He’s like your best friend, partner, and father figure rolled into one person

Stella had caught you staring at Antonio from another room of the firehouse. Keeping a relationship was hard enough, keeping it a secret around a bunch of chatty Cathies was impossible.
“Ya know Y/n, I think Antonio might have a thing for you,” Stella hinted.
“What? No. Me and Antonio, could never be a thing.”
Stella raised her hands up in defense, chuckling as she left the room.

“So then what would you call what happened last night?” He questioned flirtatiously.
“I don’t know, how about you remind me again tonight.”
Sharing a quick kiss you felt the coast was clear until you heard a loud cry.
“OTIS, YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS!”
Spinning around, you saw Otis hand Herrmann some cash through the window.
Apparently the whole house had bet on who they thought you were dating.
Gabby passed by the two men who were now joined by Stella, and opened the door.
“Told ya nothing stays secret in here.”
