lucy laid awake in her bottom bunk in the kids room, it had been probably an hour since her mom had tucked her in, sang to her for a bit before leaving her to sleep. if only she knew that this little one wasn’t planning on doing much sleeping at all tonight. she was ready for adventure. she crawled out of her bed, grabbing her robe and her backpack she tip toed out of the room. she wondered down the hall assuming her parents would both be down stairs in one of the common areas with the other adults. she quietly opened the door to her parents room, quickly getting on to the floor and crawling across as if she was on some mission and didn’t want to get caught. not that she took note to see if anyone else was in the room.

she managed to open the closet, quickly ducking down and crawling in to it. “supplies.. supplies” she mumbled to herself as she started going through her moms belongings. she held up a belt, studying it for a moment before putting it in to her backpack, she found a polaroid camera also. she grinned as she held it up to her eye, looking through it and clicking on the button to take a picture. the flash however startled her causing her to fall back against the partly open door, tumbling out of the closet. “ow..” she mumbled, looking up and seeing a familiar face. “uh oh..” she mumbled before giggling a bit. “i.. i can explain?” she quickly got to her feet. “don’t tell mom but i’m going to narnia tonight”

“Yeah, I try not to think about everything that went on inside these walls. Too much shit, if you ask me. The only good thing to come from the show was my son. Oh and the friends I made obviously.” he motioned his hand towards her, taking a book from the shelf that he thought his son might enjoy reading. He knew Alice had been through a lot as well. Hell, he’d even helped her get full custody of Lucy because her father was, well….drama filled. “Those two are always together. Pretty sure my son’s got a little crush on your daughter. I’m just glad that he’s way more behaved than me.” the blonde smirked faintly.

“you could definetely say that again. i’m beyond grateful for lucy, and the people i have met along the way such as yourself and nicholas. the three of you probably saved me from going crazy. especially that angel of mine, it’s incredible the influence having a mini you has on everything. she made me want to be the best person i possibly could be” she gushed slightly. she adored her daughter, she always blamed herself though for her rough few years in her up bringing and for the drama’s her biological father brought in to their lives. it saddened her when she found out that the person lucy would see in her nightmares was george.

“honestly you should see them at school together, it’s actually so sweet. lucy gets so upset when he’s partnered up with other people during class assignments especially in science. i’m glad they have each other though” she smiled, she had always adored noah ever since he was a baby himself. “a crush you say? i always thought lu had one on him too. who can blame them right?”

Noah looked at the closet doors intently, as if examining it to see if maybe it could lead them to Narnia. His attention then went back to Lucy with a small smirk that scarily resembled his fathers smirk. “I think this calls for another Lucy and Noah adventure. I’ve got a torch in my bag, we can wait until all the grown ups are fast asleep and then check it out. Do you think my wand will work in Narnia? If not, we’ll have to gather up some back up weapons to defend ourselves with. Especially if the white witch is still in control…” he stepped away from the cupboard and hurried over to his back pack to see if there was anything he could use. “So we’ve got coats, a wand….what else do you think we’ll need?”

she grinned at the mention of another lucy and noah adventure. “hopefully they go to sleep pretty early. my mom goes to bed early with dad now, they sit there reading for almost forever some nights but they won’t mind if i go to narnia. especially dad, if we go i’ll have to tell him all about it.” nick had always encouraged her of her adventures and expanding her imagination, she adored having him around as her dad. “i think if you really believe it might just work” she said smiling up at him. “snacks, we’re going to need snacks. let’s go to the kitchen!”

“Of course I’d find you in the library…” Benji teased Alice as soon as he’d stepped into the room full of books. He’d initially been looking for his son….who he knew would also be spending a lot of time in this room as well. “How does it feel? Being back here after all this time? And with our not so little kids as well…” he brushed his fingers over one of the book shelves as he passed it. “You wouldn’t happen to know where Noah’s run off to have you?”

“It’s like a siren call, you should know I can’t help myself” she laughed. She glanced around the room, it had a odd home like feeling to it. then again it was the only place she had to call home at one stage. “It’s weird you know? it’s crazy to think about everything that went down inside these very walls” she couldn’t help but think of the memories that she had from this place, especially the heartaches that she faced. more so coming from george schell, lucy’s biological father. “lucy has been pretty quiet for the last hour so it’s safe to assume that the two have managed to find each other at this stage”

Noah currently had his eyes glued onto the pages of the most recent book Alice had given him. His back was pressed up against the wall beside their bunk beds while he sat on the floor. That’s what the young Preston usually did in his free time. Reading was something the eight year old had taken a liking to from a young age….and as he got older, the pages in the books he read increased. Only when he heard Lucy speaking, was his attention taken away from the book in his hands. Her questions always did catch his interest. Then again, anything she said always caught his attention….so it was nothing new for him. Lucy was his best friend. She would always be his best friend. Nothing was going to change that.

“Of course I believe in monsters.” Noah believed in a lot of things. His imagination was out of this world. He set the book down and got up, walking over to the closet with her. “It looks like it would keep all kinds of monsters out. But just to be sure, I can cast a Protego Totalum charm on it. That’ll shield you from the monsters and protect you.”

She stared at her best friend as he stood by her as she looked in to the closet with her. She gave him a gentle smile. “What if.. what if” she said, her mind was now going overtime. “What if this is like the wardrobe from Narnia. This wardrobe could lead us to Narnia.. we could be Kings and Queens and we could meet Aslan” she said the idea of going to a far off kingdom facinated her beyond belief.

“Tonight once everyones gone to sleep, I’m going to come back to this wardrobe.. I want to go to Narnia” she looked at him, before quickly grabbing her coat from her bag and opening his bag and pulling a coat from his. “We might need these, if the white witch is still in control it might be cold” she explained placing them in the wardrobe.

her blue hues stared around what her mother had called the nursery, she had instantly pictured the bedroom out of peter pan. she quickly rushed over to the bottom bunk of one of the bunk beds, placing her stuffed toy on the bed as if she was claiming it as hers.

she sat on the bed as if she was waiting patiently for her friends to arrive, she wasn’t so keen on the idea of coming her parents to this place but when she heard noah was also going to be here she basically rushed them in to packing her bags. she frowned as she laid on the bed, hanging off the side of it peaking under it. she just wanted to be sure there was nothing sinister hiding away.

“noah, do you believe in monsters?” she asked curiously as she looked up at the boy, before getting off the bed and rushing over to the closet quickly opening it. “do you think they will find me here?”

“can you believe it, not here for even an hour and lucy has already managed to locate the whereabouts of noah preston” she laughed, she adored how close the two reckless babies had grown to be. the two of them had become inseparable over the past few years. the blonde walked out of the ensuite bathroom she was almost finished settling in and unpacking the pairs belongings in to what would be their new home for the next however long this season was going to last.

she couldn’t help but pause for a slight moment as she admired nicholas, her husband. with all the negative that happened to her in the very same walls of this mansion she couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest person in the world to be able to get some closure from this place, as well as starting fresh and creating new memories with the man that she was utterly and hopelessly in love with. she was definitely in a different state of mind than what she was when she first stepped in to the doorway of reckless. she snapped herself back in to the reality of it all after a quick second. “though i must say, the collection of books in the library study area is not nearly as impressive as the ones we seemed to have brought along with us” she couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, as she held up a few of the books she fished out of his suitcase. “and I thought lu was bad for bringing more books than needed.. she snuck in her entire chronicles of narnia collection that we got her for christmas, that’s seven books..”

Alice walked through the familiar hallways of the Reckless mansion, it was as if nothing has changed in all these years- besides the minor upgrades they have made here and there. “fascinating” she whispered to herself as she found herself in the library/study room. She recalled spending many sleepless nights, and hiding herself away in this room from the craziness of the mansion. Her fingers ran gently of the spines of the books lined up on a shelf. She glanced over her shoulder upon hearing another entering the room. “It’s crazy how nothing yet everything has changed, after all these years..”
