Alicent is really like a princess in a tower under the dragon's guard. Trapped in a castle, forced to serve the dragon - her husband, and ser Сriston is her knight, but he cannot save her. Because being a white cloak means being the one who was exalted by the dragon, being the one who protects the dragon, and being a queen means being the dragon's wife, just as being a princess and a knight means following the ideals of duty and honor. And if you do that? You can't leave the dragon castle.

Oh, I was thinking about the dragon around the tower on the coat of arms of the Targtowers!
tbh one of the absolute sickest personal sigils for a targaryen-hightower relationship/marriage and or for the children of one of said unions could be the classic fairytale motif of a dragon guarding a tower
like look at these art works and tell me they wouldn’t go hard on a banner, shield or stamp. shit if that iconography was in embroidery it’d go so hard

Larycent could be a gender inversion of the 'king and witch' trope, which exists both in world culture and specifically in the world of ice and fire, but what is not, is not

When I think about Helaegond, I think about:
Aegon: This is Helaena. Helaena: Hello! Aegon: My sister. And my wife. Aegon: And this is Aemond. Aemond: *sullen silence* Aegon: He's our brother and my sister-wife's boyfriend. Well, mine too. Aegon: And this is Daeron. Daeron: Hi! Aegon: He's adopted.

Riders exert influence on their dragons - Dreamfyre raged when Helaena died, Vhagar echoed the cry of Aemond, her new rider.
This is partly reminiscent of the wargs' connection with those they inhabit. When a dragon hatches from an egg belonging to a Targaryen child, the bond probably feels like something special.
But what about those dragons that are being conquered? Especially such ancient ones as Balerion and Vhagar. How can this affect the rider? How can this affect a ten-year-old boy?
In fact, it is unlikely that Martin came up with such an idea. It seems that although the riders influence the dragons, the dragons themselves do not respond in kind. But why not

This!
“Alicent would be a conservative religious trad wife in a modern AU-“ WRONG .She would be a popular girl in high school who is too kind to be a toxic girlboss but does have a very weird codependent thing with Rhaenyra where she feels jealous of her but is still devoted to her and is afraid to step from her shadow ,whilist having a crush on her very controversial ex Criston ,and then they become besties after her and Rhanyra’s dramatic falling out which was showed when Alicent started to wear green (color Rhaenyra said they couldn’t wear on Monday) .Her and Larys have a lot of weird things going on like he is obsessed with her in a very weird way but he is one of the few who stayed after her falling out with Rhanyra and she kind of likes him and has compassion for him and they gossip a lot (Criston is invited) and he is helping her to become class president .Until something weird happens to Harwin (he doesn’t die tho) .She still has daddy issues and her dad is still pretty much grooming her into making a good marriage and choosing a career e that will help her make money (literature teachers don’t make money) and some brother angst as well (Gwayne feels sooo much jealousy towards her) and she is still a good Catholic girl who is defineteky not a bisexual who has very clearly pent up rage and trauma and really wants to stab people .

It's a hot, hot day. The Targtowers and Alicole are riding on the river in a big boat!
(actually, I do not know what it is. I don't even know what a boat would look like. Rowers, sails? there are people there - servants, crew, but I had more fun and didn't think much, haha)
Before setting off, Alicent makes sure that her children are ready for a short trip. If they were in modern times, she would definitely make sure that the Targtowers were smeared with sunscreen! I think Helaena could have a light shawl to cover her head from the heat (like Alicent?). Ser Criston, of course, accompanies them. He's not wearing armor today, but he still has his weapons. Since this is a family trip, they are not accompanied by as many people as they could be.
Everyone come on board! Ser Criston helps Alicent up, because of course he will, but also Alicent holds Daeron in her arms so that he does not accidentally fall. He doesn't offer his hand to Helaena because she doesn't like to be touched, but he still backs her up so she doesn't fall. He also insures Aegon and Aemond, but Aegon and Aemond get on board easily. In fact, they don't come in at the same time, because the pig story, yes. Most likely it would be: Criston — Aegon — Helaena — Aemond — Alicent with Daeron.
Everyone disperses a little before sailing. Daeron is interested in everything, and he walks around the deck. Helaena is looking out for him, Aegon is just keeping company, and Ser Kriston is looking out for them all. Alicent and Aemond go to have a little chat with the captain, because Aemond is an inquisitive boy, and Alicent knows that it's better to let him know something in such a way that he doesn't get hurt (dragon pits...). Aegon constantly complains until they sail, so Helaena gives him her shawl, and he wraps himself up, like a grieving widow.
Departure! Alicent prefers to cut the fruits herself (oranges for Criston, cough). Ser Criston thinks to stand, but Alicent asks him to join, so they all sit. In fact, almost all of them know about the main attractions of King's Landing because they live here, but Aemond doesn't mind showing off little-known facts at all, so he kind of gives Daeron a tour. Aegon complains that it's boring, but adds some details himself. Sometimes he makes jokes that are not very appropriate for the company of his younger siblings and gets a remark from his mother. I think Helaena has very sharp eyesight! Can she notice some details that interest her, like certain plants and insects? Daeron is trying to repeat the names of the beetles after her! Alicent and Criston also share the stories of the cities they have visited. To a greater extent, this is, of course, Oldtown and Sunnspear. Ser Criston also recalls some small ports where he visited.
A lot of people wave at them, and they wave back. Daeron is especially trying to let everyone know that he sees them too. Even Aegon is waving, but it's not very noticeable because he's sprawled out on some couch or something? He left the place to Helaena in exchange for a shawl.
On the way back, they play word games. Aemond names a lot of complicated terms, only Alicent can compete with him. Helaena calls out a lot of words that are incomprehensible to anyone but her, but it passes anyway. Are these insect names or did Helaena just make them up? Who knows. Aegon joins the game. They team up with Daeron, and Aegon prompts him. Daeron can't sit still. Aegon also tries to steal pieces of fruit from other people. Sometimes Aegon and Aemond use some battle-related words that Criston mentioned when he was training them, and at these moments he feels very proud. Alicent and Criston also like to explain what words they said (I think it's a military topic for Kriston and a historical one for Alicent?), and somehow it turns into a form of flirtation between them that the whole family knows about, except for themselves and Daeron.
They're coming back. The children are exempt from evening classes (since they are members of the royal family, I think they have a lot of lessons?), but Alicent and Criston still have things to do. Despite this, I hope everyone had a good time!

Okay, there were griffins in Westeros. At least as mythological characters
When a Winged Knight riding a falcon kills the Griffin King, it looks like an Indo-European myth about the victory over chaos. The new god overcomes the old one, the new culture prevails over the old one. In The Vale of Arryn, the confrontation between the First Men and the Andals led to the fact that the first had to flee to the mountains (if we ignore the many houses of the first people that still have an impact in The Vale, while preserving elements of the culture of the first people, such as the Royce).
There's also something about suppressing one part of yourself. The griffin is the body of a lion and the head of a bird, but the bird becomes predominant. The Griffin King is one with his animal form, but the Winged Knight is not a falcon, he is riding a falcon.
Also! It is logical that if Artis Arryn is associated with the Winged Knight, then Robar II Royce can be associated with the Griffin King. The moon replacing the sun, iron instead of bronze.
Another association is The Westerlands. The body of a lion. The Vale of Arryn and The Westerlands are both mountainous areas, but the mountains of The Westerlands are not so dangerous and have many resources. In some versions, griffins guarded the treasures. Corlos Casterly also kills the animals - a lion and a lioness, but leaves their cub alive. The Old Gods reward him for this.
Theoretically speaking, we can also assume that this story may even be related back to the days when only the First Men arrived in Westeros. There is such a creature as a sea-griffin (a fish tail instead of a lion's body), and if the original religion of the first people was connected with the sea, then this may be a bit about the confrontation of the sea gods and The Old Gods. Wargs is associated with The Old Gods, so the Winged Knight could be a warg. The Griffin King is still a single being, but the Winged Knight is both him and his bird.

The wolf on the Stark coat of arms and the skinned man on the Bolton coat of arms. An animal is skinned after it has been killed on a hunt. You hunted the predatory king of the forest, you killed him, but in the end, which one of you two is the beast?

just my thoughts about ser Criston
Sorry for two things:
I haven't read the books, so these are reflections on the show!Criston
I'm translating text through a translator and I don't know how well it does, so it can get very sloppy.
Ser Criston is the son of stuart, but usually the eldest sons in the Middle Ages inherited the work of their fathers, so there is a high probability that he was the youngest son. They often had to provide for themselves. It is mentioned that his family was not high-born enough for the engagement. I assume that his family was one of the household knights, those who live in their lord's castle, serving him. This would allow ser Criston to absorb the concepts of chivalry that he is guided by in the series.
He is half dornish, although he comes from a region hostile to Dorne — the Stormlands. Most likely, his mother was Dornish (who would give stuart's job to a Dornish in a place where they are often at war with them?). To be honest, I can't imagine what his mother might have been like, what his parents' relationship was like, and so. She may have been a prisoner of war. Maybe she was just having fun with a cute guy from the Stormlands, leaving their children with him and going somewhere else. In fact, does ser Criston have quite progressive views? He doesn't seem to mind Rhaenyra inheriting the Iron Throne when he's still serving as her shield. He also doesn't treat prostitutes badly, I guess?
Despite this, ser Criston seems to be a man who is more focused on his loved ones. He forces Aegon and Aemond to work together against him, but also sets Aegon against his nephew, who is younger than Aegon (bad thing, ser Criston!). He mentions that there are no fair conditions in war (or something like that?). Is it possible that Criston's parents could get along? Enough for Mom to be able to influence him. Despite this, his mother was still dornish, so could others not treat their family well?
He also personally participated in the war against Dorne. War is a terrible pastime, especially when you are at war with the people where your mother comes from. Criston tells Rhaenyra that he thought about getting on a ship and sailing away on it. He is also prone to terrible fits of rage, but after the murder Joffrey he tries to commit suicide. I think his white cloak is not only an indicator of the position he has achieved, but also the personification of the knightly honor he clung to to convince himself that he is still a good man, despite what he may have done in the war.
He also associates escape with Dorne. The port in the Sunspear (Martell residence), oranges and cinnamon. On the other hand, there are concepts of knightly honor characteristic of Stormlands and… Reach. Where is Alicent from. Alicent is practically his lady that he serves, so their relationship may look like a choice to stay and keep fighting. He also looks calmer with Alicent. He holds back when ser Harwin attacks him.
So yes.
I'm afraid this post could be traumatic for the eyes, so thank you for reading it to the end if you did!

headcanon about Alicent?
There is a home sept in the Red Keep, but the Seven in it have a lot of external similarities to the Valyrian gods, and although Alicent visits it, she also likes to go to the city and pray in local septs.
She prays with the townspeople, merchants, artisans, rich and poor. She donates money to the septs that take care of orphans and the crippled (because I heard that the church did this in the Middle Ages?).
I think she also listens to complaints from citizens if they come to her during visits to the city, so

Aemond, rolling his eye: he's not worth ten
Bad guy, holding Aegon hostage: Ten grand and I'll give him back!
Aegon, offended: You think I'm only worth ten grand?
Bad guy: ...what?
Aegon: Give me that.
Aegon, taking the megaphone from the guy: Make it 50!
Criston, outside: SHUT UP AEGON!
