Never be afraid of not being “genuine” if you have to set reminders to worship or pray. It counts all the same. 💚

Teehee yesterday I was feeling really tired and unmotivated and I just threw myself in bed and was like "Apollon I am s t r u g g l i n g" and literally the next second my Nana called me for funsies and I got a solid energy boost
Maybe telling the gods how I feel sometimes is wise
Anywho I sat in the sun and did homework and MAN was that nice

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

I wish we had pop pagan music
Don't get me wrong, I love listening to those artists that reenact Celtic or Ancient Greek music from time to time. They're very skilled and it's a beautiful form of art.
But I also wish we had music that was more mainstream. Some upbeat pop music. R&B and hip-hop that referenced the gods without making the entire song revolve around them. Something you can actually play around your friends that aren't pagans but they would still like.

share more silly experiences with the gods!!
Oh, Nonny, I have too many to count.
Below is a list. You asked for this.
So, there was that time (which I previously mentioned) where I punched myself in the face from sneezing too hard. I actually punched my glasses halfway across the room. XD This was in front of Ares, Dionysus, and Loki, and this was actually one of my first times meeting Ares and Dionysus lmao. I felt like Loki was definitely laughing at me.
Along with that, there was this one time I was doing a serious ritual with Athena, Ares, and Hermes. Apollo showed up, but I didn't recognize his energy at first, so I dubbed him "Pablo". I kept referring to him as Pablo throughout the ritual (couldn't check through divination at the time).
One time, I asked Hermes for help getting a cat (this was my very first request from him). I asked him to be clear if he was helping me or not by sending me a sign. I picked up my cat, and on the way home, I saw a sign I've never seen in my city before for HERMES. He literally sent me a sign. What can I say, Hermes delivers.
So, I once asked Hermes through divination if he thought I was cool. (I assume) Jokingly, he said no. This became an ongoing joke between us for the next two years. On the night of my 21st birthday, I asked if Hermes thought I was cool, and he finally said yes.
Also on my 21st birthday, my friend and I played Cards Against Humanity with our deities. We used a pendulum to tell which cards they were choosing and the like. Hermes and Apollo (and eventually Loki as well, rip) started messing with me by choosing several cards at once. Apollo started it, and Hermes later joined him.
Either last year or the year before, there was a period of one or two months that I made constant "your mom" jokes to Apollo. Sometimes I did this with Hermes and Loki as well. Lots of fun, highly recommend.
I have this thing with Loki and Hermes where I will "slugbug" them whenever a Voltz Beetle shows up. I'll be driving and suddenly be like, "Lord Hermes, Lord Loki, slugbug, no slug backs. You have been slugged, wherever you may be." Once, I missed my chance at a beetle that passed by, and I'm pretty sure they slugged me first. Do I have proof that they slugged me? No, only a gut feeling. XD
I once had a meditation where Dionysus taught me how to smoke a blunt. What's crazy is that it was actually accurate, and I had no clue how to smoke at that time. Some part of me believes that was actually him lmao.
That's all I can think of for now!

Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:
Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)
Read books other than their myths (books you think they’d enjoy themselves)
Meditating with them
Learn about magickal subjects related to them
Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where they’ve assisted you and any divination conversations you’ve had with them)
Listen to their messages and follow through with them
Light incense that reminds you of them
Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them
Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)
Watch content on different subjects they’re related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)
Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them
Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them
Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)
Share meals with them
Thinking of them in passing (like “hey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*”)
Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day
Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if it’s warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)

Hey, for those who are struggling to understand the negative impact AI art has on human artists, I truly suggest watching this video. It explains the situation in a way that is objective and kind, rather than hostile and accusatory. Hope this can help explain the situation to those who are struggling to understand the resistance to AI art.

☀️ Subtle Apollo Worship 🏹
Singing/listening to your favorite songs; this applies to any music, though
Listening to music while studying
Playing any instrument
Dedicating a journal to writing poetry or stories
Reading poetry books; reading ancient poetry/stories (especially ancient Greek poetry/stories)
Dancing to any music of your choice
Setting reminders to take medication on time; taking your medication in general
Taking care of your body physically, such as brushing one's teeth or taking a shower
Taking a walk on a sunny day; basking in the warmth of the light
Keeping a pic of him in your wallet
Wearing jewelry that reminds you of him
Keeping imagery of swans, cranes, or ravens around (swans and cranes might be a safer bet if in an evangelical household; ravens may be seen as "too dark")
Having sun imagery around (although he is not the Greek god of the sun, many associate him with the sun these days; he is officially a god of light, however)
Getting a wolf or dolphin stuffed animal (sacred animals of his)
Anything to do with positive and healthy self-wellness
Learning archery
Learning to do divination outside of the obvious (the obvious being tarot, runes, and pendulums, for example; not obvious would be cartomancy, pyromancy, carromancy, shufflomancy, etc.)
Doing homework (yes, really)
Being kind to yourself when you're having a difficult time
Placing positive affirmations on somewhere you'd see them everyday, especially ones about things you're proud of
Checking in with yourself emotionally throughout the day; how are you feeling? What are some good things that have happened so far? What are some not so good things?
Learning about philosophy and taking note of your thoughts on the topic
Learning more about yourself (e.g. make a list of things you enjoy, try new hobbies, experiment with new outfits, etc.)
Expressing yourself through art of any kind
Having a candle that reminds you of him (no altar needed)
-
May add more later! For now, this is my list of discreet ways to worship Apollo. I hope it helps someone, and take care, y'all! 🧡

worship evolves with time. yes, the people who worshipped the gods back in the day had specific offerings to be given. but what is stopping you from giving modern offerings? things around your house? offerings shouldn't have to cost you a fortune. your deities aren't holding you at gunpoint to only receive what you can't easily get. they are a means of showing your love in your day-to-day. so yes!! give your deities candy bars! show them a silly little doodle of them in the corner of your notebook!! make a spotify playlist and play it for them!! dedicate a journal to them!! make a pinterest board and fill it with pins that remind you of them!! the important aspect of these offerings is that you are thinking about your deities. thinking about them and feeling love and devotion to them is a means of offering! you are devoting your energy in these acts!!
