I think by her previous AMA it was heavily implied it was during her task as she mentioned then the producers didn't want her to talk about it and no other contestant that I know has even mentioned Alex's accident.

John mentioned Alex not being there during some of his tasks on the podcast, but that was all.

Q: If you could design a task for Alex and Gregg to take part in, what would you make them do?

A: I’d get them to write sincere letters to each other about what their friendship means to the other one. They then have to read it out with no laughing or jokes. I don’t know if it’d be funny but I’d watch it.

People in the comments have picked up that Rachel said this wasn't time off she had planned, and so it seems that leaving Virgin Radio wasn't her doing. Also she has changed her Instagram name to thisrachelhorne from rachelhornerainbow.

I don't think it really counts as RPF to be fair. people aren't writing about their real selves, but the characters of taskmaster and assistant that have been crafted (by greg and alex) in the show. it's all manufactured lore, so not reality

Yeah, I get that they are playing characters, but it's just too close to RPF for me. Of course we don't really know them but it's the same in my mind as when people write about two actors. They base it on their characters they play ans that interaction they've seen onscreen but it's still done under the guise of the people themselves.

It's just a line that I don't feel comfortable crossing, but each to his own. I'd never tru and ruin it for other people in anyway.

I've been a fanfic writer in pretty much every fandom I've ever been in and it's nearly alwats the male relationships I'm drawn too, not romantic relationships, just friendships, but RP fanfic it just too weird for me. What I enjoy is how Alex and Greg both embrace it and think it's funny, but only mock it lightly. I think they both think it's a bit odd that people are writing those stories about the two of them, but secretly, I think they love it (Greg especially secretly, Alex not so secretly).
