HOW TO GET IDEAL CLIENTS 🦄 AS A PHOTOGRAPHER 📸

Do you know WHY..?

Doctors who are general practitioners barely make a living 🥹

While Heart-Surgeons, can have a MILLION dollar salary?

The reason:

Specializing at a certain field 😉

aka: Having a Niche 🤟🏼

You might be thinking…

What does THIS have to do with my photography business? 📸

EVERYTHING, lol

When you don’t decide to pick a niche as a photographer

You might be thinking:

✅ I can work with everybody so I don’t miss out on 💸💸

But here’s why this is costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars per year 👇🏼❌

Let’s say a client inquiries

And they want exclusive budoir portraits.. done by you

You happen to do all sorts of events under the sun

And your IG has headhsot work, real estate photography, weddings…

But they also inquire at a Budoir specialized photographer

Their Instagram clearly shows that they are an expert at their field, their IG feed only has boudoir work and it looks BOMB 💣

Who do you think your client will choose to work with?

Photographer B of course ✅ (your competitor)

When you don’t have a clearly defined niche:

❌ Clients don’t take you seriously

❌ They think you are not as experienced

❌ It leaves off the impression that you are all over the place

❌ They see you as a person with a “hobby” rather than a business

❌ They don’t respect you

❌ They would never pay you as much as they would pay someone with a defined niched

❌ Clients ghost you

And If you want to get to 6 or +6 figures

Having a clearly-defined money making niche 💸 is KEY

6 years ago..

These were the goals I had put on my wall

At that time I still lived in my old parent’s house

I just started my photography business and I decided to write my goals on the post-it notes 📝

In the same moment, feelings of..

Euphoria, excitement and a dose of “holy sh*t I have no f^cking clue how to make any of this happen” came up..

But I took on the challenge and I wrote 5 down

🥂Paying off my parents debt

🧲 Getting clients with no FB Ads, SEO, or a website

💸 6 figures

💰10k months

🏝 Financial Freedom

11 months after I wrote each of these down

They all came true ✨

I don’t remember who it was that told me

But I heard it somewhere…

“Write your goals down and look at them every single day as an accomplished fact and you will be so much more likely to accomplish them”

And I am glad I listened 🥂

It really DID work ✅

But I also DID the work, and gave it my all so it paid off

I see a lot of photographers getting stuck in the starting phases of their business..

Or never breaking above 6 figures…

Because the truth is:

They don’t want success bad enough

They find comfort in playing small

They want to feel sorry for themselves just to gain sympathy from people because they are “struggling” (sorry, tough love - you have to ditch the victim mentality 🖤)

They let fear and their insecurities hold them back

On this picture

All you can see Is the post-it notes 🗒

So you go

“WOW Alex, you accomplished this fast and, easy”

But don’t for a second think that I didn’t have any of these fears ☝🏼

I did

I just didn’t let them stop me

I made fear my bi*ch

And today I am calling you to make YOUR fear your bi*ch

Get 5 post it notes 🗒

Or 5 pieces or paper

(Just find something, I don’t care)

❌❌❌ no you can’t save the post for later, because you WON’T DO IT LATER (I’ll kick you over the phone, go do it now ☝🏼)

Now write down all of your goals for the year

And get to work because how successful you become this photography season… is entirely in your hands ✅🥂

I hope you do this

It was one of the things that I did when I began changing my life so fast ✨
