I really love this illustration - and for some reason I’m very worried. In general, the whole “Witch” is especially dear to my heart, but there’s also this moment…

In general, I thought for a long time about how best to convey the magic of the witch. Both in the drawing and in the text. Because you know, there are not cute lights and butterflies (but I would like), something completely different. While I was still working on the text, I came across a picture on the Internet. It was so long ago that I don’t really remember what she was like. I only remember that there was a girl there, and her face was half covered with ribbons of air. I understand: it’s exactly as it should be. I really liked this technique, where you feel that what is happening seems to absorb a person. Something spontaneous, strong. So we can consider the sketch an homage - my deep gratitude to the once-online find and tribute to its unknown creator, who gave me inspiration for the fairy tale)

Then for some time I had a question about how to draw magic in general. Because I draw comics, but how can I draw these airy stripes of yours in a plane… Here the release of comics based on “Dragon Age” saved me from stupor.
