. the discs have their own distinct music, of course
. wilbur's theme represents not only him, but l'manburg as a whole. it shifts into a minor during pogtopia, but you hear it in major a few more times. once, when wilbur rescues niki at the festival, when he decides not to press the button with tommy and quackity, and when tommy says suck it green boi after imprisoning dream.
(you also hear it when he stares at the camarvan, quietly in the background, and when niki sees ghostbur on doomsday)
. tommy's theme also represents family
. dream doesn't have a theme, instead, he parrots back those of others. especially around tommy, you hear the disc theme frequently
. the egg motif is something very sinister and orchestral, bass in general is representative of it
. niki's theme is often heard in flute bc I play flute and she deserves it
. betrayal has it's own motif: the same theme you here as eret presses the button is the same one as when tubbo exiles tommy
. as wilbur is about to press the button, you hear pretty much every motif in rising dissonance
. I can just hear the button room score like MAN. imagine him sneaking down as you hear music quietly creeping in, until phil arrives and you hear him before you see him because that's the motif for family. as he says it was never meant to be, you hear the betrayal motif loud and clear.
-Wilbur's theme playing as tommy says suck it green boi is gonna get me. it's gonna get me. And as he's staring at the camaravan it plays his own theme somewhere in the distance?? love that.
-disk theme (spookier version tm) playing with Dream a lot is so perfect. Just it plays when they're first getting to dreams evil lair, and it's just tragic to hear something that was so treasured to Tommy be used as fear ugh.
-Niki does deserve it. Good for her. Man and just think of it playing when she had that stream when she wandered around the server. She stops at the L'manhole and there's just an echo of her theme. ahhhhhhh.
-The betrayal motif my beloved. man. It plays with all the 'it was never meant to be', I also like to think it plays when revivedbur's telling tommy he never cared about l'manburg, only to be completely contradicted by the L'manburg/Wilbur theme playing later in the stream when he's looking at the camaravan.
-The button room scene would be the most interesting musically to me. Like it'd definitely have that thing where all the themes were rising, and then silence. Wilbur takes a breath. It was never meant to be. Press the button and LOUD MUSICAL EXPLOSION
-I like to think that the motif for family just plays every time a new found family dynamic gets unlocked. Ah.
