How long would it take Varian’s leg to heal? It was a stab wound, sure, those didn’t heal fast. But with the proper care it could heal in as few as 10 Days, but that was still more time then he wanted to wait.
He wanted this to be over with already.
“I guess having a reliable mode of transportation could cut down on our time overall, but still. We might have trouble finding the supplies for a balloon out here.”
Varian might not have a schedule, but Hugo did.

🌸 – A little smirk. She can’t just let him leave, Abuela would wanna figure out how he got here. If he was so eager to sneak into their castle, he’d certainly want something, no?
🌸 – “My friends and family call me Mirabel,” she begins. “But you can call me princessa.” She taps her foot and Casita creeks again, this time a bit louder. A bit more threatening.
🌸 – “Why’d you come in here, huh? You itchin to steal something?”
“Wow, judgy much? Maybe I just wanted to see if I could? I mean it’s a living castle, I didn’t actually think I’d get in.”
It wasn’t totally a lie. Hugo was more curious then anything, about their supposed miracle. He knew enough about magic to know he probably couldn’t steal it. Maybe he could have tried to steal something fancy and expensive, but again, the whole living castle thing made that seem unlikely to success. Unless he pocketed something small. . .

You are so screwed it’s not even funny. This job is probably the best and worst one you’ll ever take. You’re whole life is going to go completely batshit, and it’s going to be beautiful.
It’s going to be great. Trust me, and yeah I know how that sounds coming from us. Every step along the road is going to be a goddamn nightmare, but once you get to the end you’ll never regret a single moment of the fucked up journey it took you to get here. You’re never gonna see this cause despite everything I still don’t believe that time travel is a thing yet.
Probably gonna be proven wrong on that someday. But for now, nah.
I’d warn you about some stuff but, that’s all a past me (you) problem, not a me problem, and I’m not about to make it a me problem.
