SO I was wondering why they were wearing these very grey, bland, almost hospital gown-esque and weirdly enough kind of matching shirts...
because in the previous ones they were dressed relatively normally.
(Yeah, the Illuminati shirt absolutely counts as normal in my book.)
And maybe I have an explanation for it?
As we see at the beginning the channel was shut down by the gchq ("the UK's intelligence, security and cyber agency").
Furthermore they mention that...
[Dan: They tried to stop us. Phil: But they didn't!]
So my theory is that they got detained by the government and recently escaped but they're still wearing the clothes they were put into there.
But that's just a theory. A Craft Th- *gunshot*
(Or maybe they're trying to look like a cult, you know where everyone's wearing the same thing. Either way, I think they put some thought into the clothes so if anyone has theories or additions let me know.)
My stupid ass watching heartbreak high thinking, Malakai, Amerie and Rowan are going to be a really cool way of introducing a throuple kind of relationship to the series. Because they explore different types of sexuality in the first season and the second too. and then it turned out that Rowan was bird psycho.
i like how when they don't post for a few days we're like 'oh why have they abandoned us please give us anything' and then they give us something and we're like 'this was not for our eyes, this was a you two thing, why are we third-wheeling this video'
C'mon don't be losers, instead of doing Watcher subscription giveaways just literally buy esims for Gaza or donate to non-profit charities like Care for Gaza, which actually help affected Palestinians and deliver food and other necessities to them. There's also a bunch for Sudan like the one set up by the ICRC. Don't give $6 just for a man to eat expensive shit on camera when that $6 can do so much for an entire nation of starving people.
Watcher: I went from instant support, to feeling cheated within a few hours.
I paid right away. I cancelled a few of my patreon memberships and subscribed. Quickly.... whoops.
I believed them when they said they wanted to make television content. I was excited at the idea of having a Watcher app on my TV. My family loves watching them and I was excited to support them starting their own platform. I signed up right away.
Then...
I see no TV app. Wasn't that the whole point? To be on TV?
Well they must have a phone app as most people watch YT on their phone. Nope.
Then I figure it's in the works. I go to the help article on their site. No where do they say this is in the works. Just "meh, try opening a browser on your tv.... good luck to you."
Now I feel lied to.
They said they wanted TV level content, but it doesn't seem like they have any intention viewers watching it on TV... wait... or phone. So, this is curated to be best viewed on Desktop... they just said they wanted to move away from internet shows.
Now I feel played.
Then I look at their privacy policy. They're using the Vimeo platform to feed videos to their site.
Oh. So its not their own platform like they claimed. They're not building anything. It's a Vimeo channel with a paywall.
Now I feel used.
International viewers feel used.
Patreon members who paid ahead feel used.
The people who want to pay them as artists feel used.
It's not that people don't want to support. We do. I signed up for a year immediately. I want to pay them. Happily. But it feels like they're lying to us.
I don't even want to watch the free stuff anymore.
What's most tragic about this move from Watcher is that they claim to do it because more money = higher quality shows, but it's that same "high quality" that made me stop watching most of the shows in the first place. Ghost files just isnt fun when every 3-5 minutes they roll some 3d information animation abt a gizmo or gadget that i already think suck and have already seen in every single episode. It's annoying to watch them use them and place any stock in what they produce because it's so obvious the machines are just programmed to produce "ghost data" on their own randomly. To take something funny like the spirit box and smother it another gizmo that cleans it up and takes the fun out of it.
The reason i loved buzzfeed unsolved was never EVER the "evidence" they gathered or even the history of the ghost story. It was the boys. Ryan scared out of his mind and shane laughing at him but still comforting him even though he thought it was all bs. The banter. It was never ever the ghosts that made the show
