The queen and the knight

Back in February I had the honor of making this wonderful drawing and I’m sharing it now with y’all. I had a lot of fun working on it and I hope y’all like it
If I had to say the hardest parts was finding a reference photo for puffy (which I almost used myself as the reference) and then trying to make her face look like an actual face I couldn’t for the life of me get it to blend properly and I had to restart like 4 times before I figured it out.
Total time-2 months
Final layer count- 72

Roughly a year ago I started this “project” with the sole purpose of eventually sending it to eret (I did that) in total I spent roughly 5 days on this and while I am proud of it and honestly impressed that I did that (I will probably never do this again)
Why…well as you may or may not have noticed the background looks kinda funky that’s because that’s the original file, I had made another let’s call it (ver 2) due to a variety of causes is no longer with us (so y’all get wonky background)
To make a long story short as to why it’s gone it crashed while saving it so I basically lost the save file and it wouldn’t open anymore so I had to throw it away (it’s unfortunate but there wasn’t much I could do and by that point I was so done with it I just chose to keep the first version)
Despite all that to be completely honest I am proud of it, going into it I wasn’t sure how it was going to look I’ve done realistic stuff before but full body was a challenge I had never taken on but I did it and yes (I have my gripes) it was an experience and one I don’t regret it.
I’ve been doing art for years and Im Turing what started as a hobby into my career as a graphic design major, so to anyone out there who is maybe just starting off have fun with it mess around with different styles find what works for you,the joy of art is that there is no right or wrong way just enjoy yourself
